The weather here is one of the most confusing things about the University. It’s not that unheard of to experience all four seasons in one day. Most days, the mornings are chilly, the afternoons are warm, the evenings are chilly again, and the nights are freezing. There is no telling what to expect on any given day, and a change of wardrobe is often needed to match Mother's Nature mood here.

Weather extremes are not uncommon in Connecticut. The winters bring very cold and windy days that require a lot of bundling up. Snow accumulation occurs often during this season and sometimes results in the University closing. It also rains a lot here, and sometimes pours for a whole day. Winter is a hard battle for students, but spring usually brings very warm temperatures and lots of sun. It also rains a lot in the spring, so be mindful of that. In general, bring all types of gear and clothing to weather the weather.
