Off-Campus Dining: There's nice food off campus

Off-Campus Dining: Off campus dining offers a wide variety. One of my favorite places to go is Peppercorns. It happens to be very expensive but reminds me of food that my family cooks when I'm home. Authentic Italian

Off-Campus Dining: Hartford is a fairly traditional city. Set in its ways

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Off-campus dining is always great when you are going to a school that is located nonetheless in a city but the capital of a state. There are always food options and the price is average.

Off-Campus Dining: Off-campus dining is phenomenal, especially in Blue Back Square. There's a lot of variety and something for every price range. You can have a fancy date night at a nice restaurant if you want to, or you can get really cheap food. There's a lot of variety in terms of ethnic cuisines, too.

Westfarms Mall, a popular student hangout, has many restaurants ranging from fast food to sit-down restaurants. You can find nearly everything here: Auntie Anne's, Brio Grille, Burger King, California Pizza Kitchen, Dunkin' Donuts, P.F. Chang’s, Pretzel Time, Rainforest Café, Ruby Tuesday, Sbarro, and Subway. Across from the mall there is a Red Robin and Olive Garden. All of these restaurants are affordable and in a good area, but they are sometimes crowded due to their location inside and around a shopping mall. Bishops Corner, another popular hangout for students, has Bertucci's, an affordable little Italian restaurant. An abundance of restaurants are also located in the West Hartford Center, which is home to more than a dozen restaurants of all kinds—cafes, steakhouses, seafood. Popular spots are The Cheesecake Factory and Max's Oyster Bar.

Aside from sit-down restaurants, many students also often order food and have it delivered to them on campus. There are many Chinese restaurants in the area, so those are popular order-in spots. Students will also order pizza from nearby shops. Wings Over Hartford is another place that students love to order from—it has very delicious wings for an affordable price. All of the food is affordable, but the restaurants usually require a minimum order of $10 for delivery.
