Technology: There are numerous labs, virtually one in every building. Printing is determined on a per school basis. The school I received my undergrad degree did not have free printing, but where I'm getting my Masters does. We also have a remote log in system so you can access any software UGA owns from your home computer for free.

Overall Experience: The school I graduated from within my university is number 4 in the nation- next to Ivy League Schools. The professors were top notch and had real world experience, not just classroom knowledge. The campus is beautiful, walkable, and friendly. There bus routes throughout the city for students as well as plenty of free parking areas. Athletics are big in the South as well, so you can't ask for a better team than the Dawgs. Between being an excellent value, incredible connections with faculty, the amazing opportunities, and the education I received; Athens truly is the best four (or five or six...) years of your life.

Campus Food: The dining plan is convenient, but pricy. The fast food joints are soso.

Local Area: The campus and the town are practically seamless, and you can find something interesting no matter where you go.

Campus Housing: The dorms are pretty narrow and kind of unhomely feel. But the social atmosphere is awesome and everybody is always friendly. It's quite expensive but worth it to dorm. It's also convenient to just wake up 15 minutes before class.

Campus Quality: It is a very highly academic, athletic school with over 700 clubs to be involved in. It is like it's own world.

Scholarships: There are so many candidates for scholarships and aid that it is hard to qualify for anything. You have to be super special to get anything. It makes it harder for above average students to feel good enough to qualify for stuff.

Academics: My degree program is in high demand. My school is very athletic and visible in the competitive arena so there is great interest in my career field.

Academics: My school has some of the best professors around. It is a big school so it's easy to feel lost in the system and a little intimidating knowing if you are doing the right things. Sometimes making a mistake and missing something can cost you too much time.

Drug Safety: There is so much drinking in our community in general, that adding college students to the mix is easy.

Off-Campus Dining: My community has GREAT diversity.

Administration: My school is very large (34k+) students and it is very organized and structured. Professors are great and helpful. This school is very rigorous.

Overall Experience: If I could do it all over I would choose my school again. It is the best! The academics and the athletics are great! I love the sens of pride we have at our school, knowing the we have the best of everything! Everyone is so friendly! One of the most amazing feelings in the world is cheering in the student section at a home football game on Saturday. The atmosphere is just so wonderful. Everyone comes together in their red and black and we are like a big family. The students are so ambitious and hardworking, yet they also really know how to have fun. This is THE BEST University in the world and I'm so glad to be apart of the Bulldawg Nation!!

Off-Campus Housing: The off-campus housing is great! There is great parking and buses that come and take you on campus so if you don't want to drive you don't have to. The safety is not that great though, but as long as you're in a group you should be okay. I think it is pretty convenient because it is not that far from campus. Often, it's cheaper to live off campus because the dorms are really expensive.

2 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The dorms and meal plans are so expensive that most people need loans to pay for it. Even if you get the HOPE scholarship or Zell Miller that only pays tuition. There are so many other costs. I have not had much dealings with financial aid because my parents do not want me to take out a lot of loans like my brother did. I really need scholarships so that I will not have to worry about paying them back.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: Parking is not that great. You have to park somewhere that's kind of far unless you want to pay a lot for the really close parking. If you park anywhere on campus you have to have a permit during the day time. It's really hard because the campus is big and if you depend on the buses you will be late sometimes and it's hard to walk from one side of campus to the other in between classes.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: There are a variety of majors offered at my school. However, a lot of student are into the medicine field or business. I have heard that the science classes are very challenging and they do that to keep out people who don't work hard enough. However, I think that the class load is not too much. There are various resources for students to help them succeed such as tutoring and the Student Academic Center.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: I think this University has a very diverse group of students. There are many different races, ethnicity, countries and religions represented at his school. The students are pretty accepting and they don't really care where someone is from. People are very friendly and open about their differences.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: The weather in this city is so unpredictable. We can get rain, snow, sunny weather and windy all in one week. When you go out, you never know what to expect. Most students keep umbrellas with them and sunglasses and jackets. However, the weather doesn't stop students from going out and having fun.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: I think that there is a lot of the same looks and interests at the university. When you look at a friend group, you will hear how students love being different and all that, but then they all have the same ideas and same conversation. There is not that much diversity within friend groups only diversity is from one group to the next.

One of the most amazing things about students at UGA is that I have never heard one person say they don't like being here. UGA and Athens have so much to offer in so many different categories, that there really is something for everyone. The positive energy of 30,000 people who are happy to be here is captivating, and something you will instantly want to be a part of. It will not take long before you regard Athens as your second home, and after about a week, most students forget how big a school it is.

It's exciting to be in Athens because there is always something going on, whether it is entertainment, a demonstration, job fairs, or just a chance to hang out with people you just met who are now your best friends. Students are encouraged to explore their talents and make the most of their four years here, and most students are able to achieve their ultimate "college experience." Sometimes, it seems like we are all characters in some cheesy teen movie because college life in Athens is so classic, but academically, socially, and personally, this school seems to have changed most of us for the better.
