Health & Safety: The campus police are around all the time. I personally feel safe I have walked home alone at night multiple times and have never felt unsafe. However it is a college and sexual assaults do happen so I would recommend to always be careful.

Campus Housing: A dorm is a dorm. It will be small and the communal bathrooms are not ideal however I loved it. You meet great people, the RAs aren't too strict or obnoxious. you can wake up 10 min before class and walk and get there on time. You can walk to dinning halls easily and don't have to make food. Your roommate will make or break your experience probably. Just keep your door open and get to know the people on your hall.

Greek Life: I'm not Greek and you do not have to be to have fun. You can still go to their parties and don't have to pay tons of money. Many of my friends are Greek and they love it however. Rush sucks its stressful and hot but if you really want to go greek after Rush (for girls) after that its easy peasy fun. Guys have to do that whole pledge thing which seems dreadful to me but they seem to enjoy it.

Athletics: I play club soccer and its the best decision i've made in college. There are great people on the team that are now some of my best friends. its not a huge time commitment like playing a varsity sport but we still get tons of swag and travel and play its great! They are currently redo-ing the club fields so sharing one field with every club team is hard but hopefully once they are done it will be back to normal.

Varsity sports are all free to attend to for students (except football) the games are always fun. The school gives out t-shirts and items to encourage students to go and you get points for going which then you can use to buy more swag. Its fun to go but its not necessary.

Overall Experience: I've met wonderful people here. Though its a large school its easy to find your niche. And because its so big there are endless groups and activities to explore. Athens is fun for parties everyone knows that but I feel like the school is constantly trying to help me. I get countless emails about job opportunities, internships, scholarships within my major a month it rocks. I know i will come out of college with a degree and a job.

Overall Experience: Classes are massive, especially science classes. Most classes are lectures and many notes are taken. Seminars are great and your professor really tries to get to know you.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I get emails almost daily from the university informing students of job opportunities although I have never needed them.

Health & Safety: I haven't experienced any security issues on campus nor has any of my friends. I feel very safe on campus. Campus police patrol regularly and doors are locked late at night.

Campus Housing: Creswell Hall really made my experience at UGA memorable. There were so many people and it was such a social environment. It was as close as it could be to everything on campus. The dorms are a great place to live.

Greek Life: Greek life can be very expensive and I couldn't afford it, but many of my friends are involved and talk very highly of it. Greek life is one of the biggest parts of the university and almost all freshmen rushed.

Athletics: Football is a huge part of the UGA experience. Football games in Sanford Stadium are so much fun.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: UGA's campus is beautiful and there are so many cool traditions that really make you feel like you're apart of something unique and special. I would choose UGA over and over again. I couldn't imagine a better school.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Class variety is kind of limited, in that there are maybe on 3 options for each required course whereas in some schools there are 5-6 options. Classes are extremely informative and I have never known someone that had a negative relationship with a certain professor.

Overall Experience: As an incoming freshman I received a letter from an alum that wished me good luck in my next few years as a bulldog and it made me feel very welcomed to the UGA family.

Campus Housing: It needs updating, but it works. Students have the ability to find friends easily through the dormitories because of the frequent community based activities.

Greek Life: It can be a little cliquey sometimes, however it gives people an opportunity to join a community and build relationships that might not have happened with out Greek life.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: They are one of the main focuses other than academics and it gives students a way to connect and build relationships because every student is concerned with one aspect of the athletics department or another.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I haven't attended school there yet, however as an incoming freshman, they have been extremely helpful and constantly update me on what I need to accomplish before classes commence. I already love being a Georgia Bulldog!

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: UGA campus police as well as the administration do an excellent job of notifying and informing students of any danger on campus and how to avoid it.

5 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I got in to the building I wanted and adding roommates was simple and easy.

One of the most amazing things about students at UGA is that I have never heard one person say they don't like being here. UGA and Athens have so much to offer in so many different categories, that there really is something for everyone. The positive energy of 30,000 people who are happy to be here is captivating, and something you will instantly want to be a part of. It will not take long before you regard Athens as your second home, and after about a week, most students forget how big a school it is.

It's exciting to be in Athens because there is always something going on, whether it is entertainment, a demonstration, job fairs, or just a chance to hang out with people you just met who are now your best friends. Students are encouraged to explore their talents and make the most of their four years here, and most students are able to achieve their ultimate "college experience." Sometimes, it seems like we are all characters in some cheesy teen movie because college life in Athens is so classic, but academically, socially, and personally, this school seems to have changed most of us for the better.
