Off-Campus Dining: Athens is such a foodie town! So so so many good options all across the board of student's budget. Go to The Last Resort of DePalma's for a nice meal out when your parents come to town, go to Taco Stand or Barbarritos for a student budget friendly meal, and Mama's Boy for a local speciality. Athen's I love you!

Administration: Campus police are great and always notify us immediately to ensure our safety if something happens on or near campus. UGA has a strict honor code and a violation has severe consequences. They are very very lenient with underage drinking and alcohol. The police have very much a turn the other cheek mentality.

Scholarships: I'm an Out-of-State student which really hurts you with financial aid, because all the in-state students get it with the Hope Scholarship and Zell. They only offer loans for out-of-state students, which sucks.

Campus Food: For dining hall food, UGA is #blessed. One of the best things about Meal Plan is the social aspect. I probably met half of my friends in dining halls. Everyone spends there free time in Bolton. Georgia does a really good job of having variety, options, and lots of healthy variety. You can always get the food you are craving. The Niche is legendary and so good. People will wait to get into the Niche because it's that good---wood-fired personal pizzas, ready to made sandwiches, sweet potatoe fries, Jittery Joe's coffee, soft gooey homemade cookies, and gelato. People not on meal plan will pay for the Niche. It's soooo good! O'House has good mexican food and coffee----they have their own coffee shop in the dining hall---great place to study!! Snelling is the place to late night as it's open 24/7 Monday-Thursday yay snellebration!! ECV has the most healthy options and yummy smoothies,,,,great to fuel up after a work out at Ramsey!

Party Scene: UGA's nightlife is always lively. Downtown Athens at night is crowded, packed and people are always having fun. We didn't get ranked #3 party school for nothing. However, there is a totally different party experience for those of us that don't drink but still want to have fun. Phi Slam hosts outrageously big parties filled with fun themes that attract 400-500 students that don't have alcohol. This promotes a great party atmosphere for everyone. Athens really has a fun place for everyone to hang out.

Off-Campus Housing: Can choose from many options and find what you like best. Pretty pricey, but so is on-campus.

Off-Campus Dining: I come from a small town, so Athens has a lot more variety and options!

Administration: They understand we are college students, but also know there are rules we have to abide by.

Scholarships: The only help I recieved was hope, and they pretty much handled it for me.

Campus Food: Really great food, and extremely convenient if you live on campus. I do wish there was a lunch plan though!

Campus Housing: Only downfall is that you share a tiny room with another person and community bathrooms, but it was a wonderful experience!

One of the most amazing things about students at UGA is that I have never heard one person say they don't like being here. UGA and Athens have so much to offer in so many different categories, that there really is something for everyone. The positive energy of 30,000 people who are happy to be here is captivating, and something you will instantly want to be a part of. It will not take long before you regard Athens as your second home, and after about a week, most students forget how big a school it is.

It's exciting to be in Athens because there is always something going on, whether it is entertainment, a demonstration, job fairs, or just a chance to hang out with people you just met who are now your best friends. Students are encouraged to explore their talents and make the most of their four years here, and most students are able to achieve their ultimate "college experience." Sometimes, it seems like we are all characters in some cheesy teen movie because college life in Athens is so classic, but academically, socially, and personally, this school seems to have changed most of us for the better.
