Off-Campus Housing: kinda overpriced but that's just because it's UGA.

Administration: the administration isn't alway present, but they're good.

Campus Quality: It looks beautiful. I love walking thru North Campus. It is always a majestic feeling. Ramsey (athletic center) s extremely nice. However, Park hall could use some much needed updating.

Academics: UGA offers a variety of classes, and it gives the students the opportunity to take them. The FYOS (first year seminars) are designed to give freshmen a chance to take an hour a week course not associated with your major.

Academics: Teachers are mixed. Some really care about their students and do anything to help them succeed. Others are strictly lectures. Registration is an exciting and hectic period, however I usually get a pretty good schedule after a few days. The workload is stressful but it is manageable. Most popular study areas include MLC, Tate, and library.

Campus Food: The ding hall food is great. There are many options that you will love. Only downside is believe it or not you may get tired of the food (It's very hard to believe) however, there is no doubt that the food is out this world especially compared to other schools.

Party Scene: UGA has been ranked party school for many TRUE reasons.

Scholarships: It's either Hope or Zell. UGA is horrible at giving scholarships to its students. Do not get wrong I did receive a scholarship from UGA, however most students were not as lucky. They could definitely do better in this area

Local Area: Downtown Athens is great especially at night and on the weekend. There are numerous clubs that are EASY to get into (underage). However, step outside of the UGA bubble and you will see a country place. I cannot seeing myself living here after graduation, but i will say that I will enjoy my four years here.

Guys & Girls: It is a school of 35,000 student. You will meet a little bit of everything. I will say that there are alot of girls into Greek and some can be stand-offish while some are friendly without a doubt. The guys are generally more outgoing than the girls, but again it just depends on the person. There are fewer artsy people that I know but I'm a business major (Maybe that's why i don't know many). Either way you will meet cool people of you be yourself and are open to meeting people

Diversity: Diversity- it is a majority white campus however i will say everywhere I have been i've seen a mzture. My dorm is mix with alot of races, classes as well.

Race- there are a ton of clubs for those seeking their own race such as Black affairs council, Asian student association, Korean student association, Ga daze, and Amnesty( Hispanic/Latino). It is very possible to meet people of your own race.

Sexual Orientation- It is mixed reception. Some people are ok and some are not. Not alot of gay couples holding hands, however there is a community that is not ashamed and are very open to new members and making people feel safe.

Political Beliefs- there are clubs for that :)

Administration: My RA is horrible. She is never actually in the dorm, so she can't enforce the rules, especially quiet hour. People were once singing loudly in the hallway for half an hour at 1 AM on a weekday before I went out and yelled at them.

Campus Housing: The high rises are too old and are falling apart. The housing priority system is faulty. I was supposed to have a higher priority than others, but was put into a dorm that was not one of my top choices.

Majors: My program is the best in Georgia and is recognized across the country as one of the best. It is the only major at UGA with 100 percent job placement after graduation.

Local Area: Downtown has good stores, like Wuxtry Records and Jackson St Books, but if you don't like to drink illegally, the nightlife there is not for you. Also, the clothing stores are really expensive.

Health & Safety: Fairly safe, but I still worry sometimes about the safety on campus, especially at night.

Athletics: I love our gym, club sports, all of it. It is perfect. They have great hours, great staff. The equipment is up to date. Overall, I feel that the athletics aspect of UGA is very well supported and ensured.

One of the most amazing things about students at UGA is that I have never heard one person say they don't like being here. UGA and Athens have so much to offer in so many different categories, that there really is something for everyone. The positive energy of 30,000 people who are happy to be here is captivating, and something you will instantly want to be a part of. It will not take long before you regard Athens as your second home, and after about a week, most students forget how big a school it is.

It's exciting to be in Athens because there is always something going on, whether it is entertainment, a demonstration, job fairs, or just a chance to hang out with people you just met who are now your best friends. Students are encouraged to explore their talents and make the most of their four years here, and most students are able to achieve their ultimate "college experience." Sometimes, it seems like we are all characters in some cheesy teen movie because college life in Athens is so classic, but academically, socially, and personally, this school seems to have changed most of us for the better.
