4 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: Campus is friendly with huge school spirit that is contagious. People and programs are welcoming with lots of activities to get involved with.

Campus Quality: The open fields have benches and campus is equipped with areas for free speech entitling the students to offer opinions on heavy subjects out of home and classroom locations. Gyms are located near bus stops for transportation around famous and fully equipped with friendly staff. Traditions might get silly, but keep the "gator lovin'" strong.

Diversity: Pretty diverse of a school but you tend to stick with the people that you are most like.

Off-Campus Housing: There are hundreds of different types of off campus housing. Call me if you need detail! Right now I am a leasing agent in Gainesville. Its just easiest to say you can find everything from cheap to the over priced, and ancient to the brand new.

Guys & Girls: Lately they have adopted the new trend of extremely neon colors and a lack of matching... I think I woke up in an alternate reality!

Majors: I have already mentioned, it is a stepping stone major for veterinary school, otherwise not very useful

Local Area: I prefer a more affluent area with fancy shopping districts and less drunken parties. Gainesville to me feels in the middle of no-where.

Academics: Some of the teachers are wonderful, however, I have had some classes that I could have excelled at, but instead barely passed due to the poor quality of education I received from the professor

Academics: My major was only a stepping stone for what I want to do, veterinary school. I would advise anyone who wanted to work with animals that did not want to go to graduate school to not take this major, as it is too broad and does not give me any technical skills in which to start a career. They should go to Santa Fe College and enroll in the zoology program

Overall Experience: As an education facility, Ive had some great teachers, but mostly mediocre to terrible ones. Teachers who don't care. And I have always felt like a number, not an individual with unique needs.

Campus Quality: UF has outstanding history and athletic centers. It should be, being an SEC participant! The best place to study is the Health Science Library in UF Health Hospital, and for your 24 hour study needs, library west is always open

Campus Quality: Being a transfer student and only spending my last 2 years of undergrad there, I did not take much advantage of the extra opportunities UF offers. However, TRiP looked like fun, where you get to go on group outdoor trips across the country.

Off-Campus Dining: You can always find what you are looking for to eat in Gainesville! Especially if it is fried :P

Scholarships: I received a bright futures scholarship from the state of Florida for my undergraduate experience. I had no problems receiving it, and was not qualified to receive any other aid.

Off-Campus Housing: Living off campus is so much better than living on campus because you get all of the perks of living on campus except you have a cheaper living experience.

Greek Life: Greek students aren't viewed any differently than the rest of the population we are all here to have a good time and maybe learn something on the way.

Diversity: Our school is very accepting of diverse ethnic groups in that we bring them in and we help them feel welcome because we want them to love it just as much as we do.

Academics: Being my major at UF is the best not only do we get maximum internship/job opportunities but our curriculum and facilities are great for learning. The workload isn't too overbearing and we are able to have fun along with learn the material.

5 College Junior

Campus Housing: Campus life is the best. There is always something to do at UF and it never ceases to amaze me.

Some schools have certain advantages over others. Small schools give a feeling of community; large schools have lots of resources; private schools are ripe for close academic relationships with faculty; and state schools offer a good value. Well, UF is not your typical state school, and Gainesville is certainly not your stereotypical small town. Because this place is so big, it has all of the libraries, dorms, athletics, courses, clubs, and services you could want at a good price. But if you put forth just a little effort, you’ll find that the University also has more compassionate, down-to-earth professors, locals, and students that any small, private school could ever dream of having.

The best thing about going to a school like UF is that whatever you want to accomplish in life, it is probably obtainable through going to this school. You will never have to worry about not fitting in with anyone because the campus is a huge melting pot. Students are never bored on campus because there is literally always something to do with friends both on or off campus. And who wouldn't want to go to a school where the immense amount of school pride is literally unexplainable? It sure is great to be a Florida Gator.
