Athletics: Gator Athletics are some of the best supported of any school I've seen. Even "lesser" sports like gymnastics, women's lacrosse and softball draw amazing crowds.

Overall Experience: Courses were challenging and fulfilling. Overall, no major issues.

Overall Experience: Value of a degree from UF is very high. I've encountered many working professionals who automatically view me as reputable and bright, based on the sole fact that I graduated from UF.

Health & Safety: I have never felt unsafe on campus. I think it's known that there are areas to avoid at night around campus (primarily if you're a girl) but that would be applicable for most universities.

Campus Housing: A lot of the buildings are old, but then again, the school has been around for over 100 years! I lived in Jennings my freshman year so I made sure to upgrade to Springs for my sophomore year; after that, I moved off-campus, as most do.

Greek Life: As a non-Greek, I think Greek life is expensive. I know good people both in and out of fraternities.

Overall Experience: UF is a quality institution. Sure, I may be biased, but I think it's know far and wide that both our academics and student life are above average. It's a great environment for undergraduate studies, and I haven't regretted it for a second.

Athletics: There are a variety of opportunities to get involved in sports, both as a spectator and an athlete. The intramural teams are both fun and competitive with a lot to choose from to meet every interest; they're also a great way to make friends. School spirit at UF is unrivaled. Go Gators!

Athletics: The athletics at my school are extremely fun to take part in but watching or playing. The campus's students are very interested in sports team, also including intramurals. The school spirit is defining and exciting to be a part of. UF has several practicing field for non-varsity teams, although I believe they can be a bit more updated.

Overall Experience: I love attending the University of Florida! My favorite aspect of this school is without a doubt the determination of the students here. Yes, we make the most of our off time, but students take their work very seriously. We do not just try to get by, but rather all work hard and work together to make the most use out of the degree we are pursuing. The people/ students are pretty welcoming and easy-going. Also, the professors P, GTAs, and TAs in my courses are absolutely hands down amazing. They are highly dedicated to supporting, helping, and pushing students to reach their full potential.

Although it is only my first year attending UF, I apcan already say that I would not chose a different school. The education offered, atmosphere of the city, and feeling of importance to professors is inspirational, positivie, and makes every student empowered and passionate at what we do. I've been looking for those characteristics in a college. The University of Florida successfully does that for me.p and I wouldn't change a thing.

Overall Experience: For all the weed out classes, the class sizes are very large. Most courses are very adequate for the student body.

Campus Housing: The dorms here are really expensive. The worst options on campus include Sledd Hall which has mold problems. The dorms though are really close to classes.

Greek Life: The Greek life is very terrible because it does not affect the social atmosphere of the campus and all they do is throw parties involving alcohol.

Overall Experience: My overall experience at UF is very good. The campus is very a pedestrian-friendly place with a lot of sidewalks. I would choose this school again because it has a very high academic reputation and the environment is not very urban which I would prefer over a school in an urban environment.

Health & Safety: Crimes happen on and around campus, but we get alerts on our phones within minutes and there seems to be a pretty good response team to deal with that. I don't know what the average crime rate at universities is but I'd say we do pretty well keeping it low.

Overall Experience: I have really loved every course I've taken so far, which is pretty amazing I think. I've had a couple of professors I wasn't crazy about but overall they're pretty fantastic.

Overall Experience: There are several job/internship fairs every semester and there are tons of alums. I've spend a lot of time working with the career resource center and that's really helpful and cool.

Health & Safety: The University of Florida has a great system in place, where text messages are sent to every students phone in the case of a crime, even if it is off campus. That's especially for people like me who live off-campus that are significantly less safe than the on-campus housing.

Overall Experience: There are plenty of opportunities for an individual to get at least a connection to employers. A great example of this is the Career Showcase, where plenty of employers come looking for both technical and non-technical students to join them whether it be as a job or an internship. I'd wish there were more opportunities for internships though, as they are extremely hard to get.

Greek Life: I am not a Greek, nor did I rush/pledge, but I do not really mind the presence of Greek life on campus. This may be because the people that surround me in my classes are not Greeks for the most part, but I still don't have a problem with them. I do find it a bit frustrating that it's almost impossible for a non-Greek male to get into any parties, but I barely go out so it's not that big of an issue for me. With all that being said, I do believe non-Greeks for the most part have more drive and focus in academia, and I much prefer to be surrounded with like-minded individuals, and not Greeks that only care about going out.

Athletics: I'm personally very interested in playing and watching soccer, so it's not too thrilling that almost no attention is given to the University of Florida soccer team. I'm aware the extreme gap in talent and reputation in the football and soccer teams, but it's still disappointing, considering I hope to join the team one year. That being said, I still have opportunities to play soccer, but it's not as big in the culture of the school as I wished it was.

Some schools have certain advantages over others. Small schools give a feeling of community; large schools have lots of resources; private schools are ripe for close academic relationships with faculty; and state schools offer a good value. Well, UF is not your typical state school, and Gainesville is certainly not your stereotypical small town. Because this place is so big, it has all of the libraries, dorms, athletics, courses, clubs, and services you could want at a good price. But if you put forth just a little effort, you’ll find that the University also has more compassionate, down-to-earth professors, locals, and students that any small, private school could ever dream of having.

The best thing about going to a school like UF is that whatever you want to accomplish in life, it is probably obtainable through going to this school. You will never have to worry about not fitting in with anyone because the campus is a huge melting pot. Students are never bored on campus because there is literally always something to do with friends both on or off campus. And who wouldn't want to go to a school where the immense amount of school pride is literally unexplainable? It sure is great to be a Florida Gator.
