Overall Experience: In Architecture, it is one of the most stressful majors at the University of Florida when it comes to time, money, and difficulty. Our teachers like to challenge us to make sure we are ready to design in high pressure situations and under a time budget.

Overall Experience: I found my current summer internship as a recommendation from a critique on my mid-term review for my design class. I love my current job and work along side other University of Florida graduates. The Gator Nation is everywhere.

Health & Safety: We have S.A.F.E. which is a student ride option at night that is students a police officers partnered up to make sure you can get anywhere around campus safely. We also have a buddy walk program where students can walk together to prevent anything from happening. Also scattered around campus are Blue Safety lights that you can press the button and help will be there in minutes if you feel unsafe. University of Florida cares about their students and makes sure their is a variety of options to make sure everyone is safe.

Campus Housing: I only lived in a dorm for the first summer I was at University of Florida. I can say it was a great experience, I did have to share a room and bathroom. The only thing I did not like it the cleaning staff had to enter our rooms to clean the bathroom and sometimes came way earlier then my classes started.

Greek Life: Greek life somewhat runs the school. If you are not in the fraternity of sorority or in a lesser of the fraternity of sorority's you are looked down upon and can't be as involved or welcomed as you might want to be.

Athletics: I have a lot of friends in the varsity sports teams and my friends and I also play intramural sports together. The support and involvement from the school around sports is a great way for students to interact with one another.

Overall Experience: The University of Florida is culturally diverse and provide a learning experience to help their students succeed compared to other state schools.

Campus Housing: I loved getting the freshman experience and highly recommend living in a dorm for your first year. But after that get out! it definitely makes you appreciate personal space

Greek Life: the tier system for the greek life at our school is extremely harsh. I love being in a sorority but I hate the judgement I get from other greeks because I'm bottom tier.

Athletics: Everyone has a count down till games are back in the swamp on saturday's. It's nice going to a school where sports bring us all together, but we all know academics are important as well.

Overall Experience: there's nothing like a game day in the swamp, or even just walking across campus to the library. I have never felt more like I'm a part of something bigger than myself. At UF i'm bettering my education and myself. My first two years flew by and I'm excited for the next two.

Health & Safety: Have been some instances of assault throughout the year. Students are always alerted to be vigilant.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: I have no interest in entering Greek Life, thus I am indifferent about the idea.

Athletics: The school becomes very lively during sport events and almost all students participate in said events.

Overall Experience: Many of the classes are thought by T.A.'s and the students are at each others throats for a better position or standing with professors.

Party Scene: The parties are great but you just have to be careful not to drink to much and also know what you're drinking.

Academics: Although many people at UF party hard, they also study hard too. On any given night, the libraries are full of people (24 hour library).

Some schools have certain advantages over others. Small schools give a feeling of community; large schools have lots of resources; private schools are ripe for close academic relationships with faculty; and state schools offer a good value. Well, UF is not your typical state school, and Gainesville is certainly not your stereotypical small town. Because this place is so big, it has all of the libraries, dorms, athletics, courses, clubs, and services you could want at a good price. But if you put forth just a little effort, you’ll find that the University also has more compassionate, down-to-earth professors, locals, and students that any small, private school could ever dream of having.

The best thing about going to a school like UF is that whatever you want to accomplish in life, it is probably obtainable through going to this school. You will never have to worry about not fitting in with anyone because the campus is a huge melting pot. Students are never bored on campus because there is literally always something to do with friends both on or off campus. And who wouldn't want to go to a school where the immense amount of school pride is literally unexplainable? It sure is great to be a Florida Gator.
