Drug Safety

{{ error }}
2 College Freshman

Drug Safety: It's college, a significant portion of students are here to party and waste time. I doubt it differs much from other schools, though.

Drug Safety: People really love to go out here. Most people are safe and can handle themselves, but fake ID's are a pretty big thing so people tend to go to the bars. Additionally, campus security can get pretty annoying about drinking. But overall most people have a good time. Weed also tends to be popular, but not necessary at all. A surprising number of people have no interest in weed and no body cares either way.

Drug Safety: Drug use is decently prevalent on this campus. A lot of coke and Adderall. Almost everyone drinks and smokes. You shouldn't be to worried about the drug situation. It is just as easy to find people who are in the drug community as those who are not.

Drug Safety: College has drugs and DU is no exception. If you like music then Molly is there, Greek life loves cocaine, more alternative circles LSD, everyone drinks and everyone smokes weed (It's Colorado and legal).

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: It's not too noticeable but I definitely notice a fair share of classmates coming to class high off of marijuana and I find that disrepectiful, immature and annoying. I can't stand sitting next to someone that is wreaking of the drug and can't concentrate or keeps me distracted from what is happening in class.

Other than alcohol and marijuana, you don't hear much about drugs on the DU campus. Drinking is a fairly popular activity, to say the least, but there are plenty of other things to do if drinking is not your scene. Although many of DU's parties are judged by the amount of alcohol and/or marijuana present, it's not impossible to have a good time without them. At times, the campus buzzes with rumors of cocaine or methamphetamine, but for the most part, hard drugs aren't a factor. Most students don't want to even think about the consequences of getting caught with hard drugs, much less live out those consequences.

Even so, some students have their ways of finding their drugs of choice. Many times, however, this requires a bit of traveling to other (larger) schools. Some students take advantage of friends at CU or CSU, which are prime spots to buy what you're looking for.
