Off-Campus Dining: Good mix of typical chain restaurants and restaurants that aren't so common, but no real diversity or cultural differences in food. Main Street's really easy to get to from virtually anywhere, though.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: As a student that does not live on campus I do not know every dining location but those that I do know of are not unreasonable.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: I have no money so I never go to Main street.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: There are lots of variety restaurants available. Spanish food are the most common, followed by US and Italian. I am a fan of Asian food. There are not many Asian restaurants available. You need to drive out of town to find some nice Chinese food.

When you eat off campus, you're guaranteed to find something that can satisfy you. Main Street offers many different kinds of food, and driving a little ways off campus can satisfy all the rest of your food needs. Should you be unable to find a pre-made meal to fill all your desires, there is always the grocery store. Pathmark, in particular, puts effort into catering to some of the needs of foreign and health conscious students. There is a wide variety of different foods there to satisfy everyone.

While the options are endless, the quality may not always be the best. There is certainly not anything near gourmet food available unless you can cook it yourself. Seafood is a little hard to find and is rarely prepared well when found. Students also find it hard to eat healthfully from their off-campus dining choices without being overly repetitive unless they become a savvy chef. Newark has its downfalls in quality, but it definitely makes up for it with its quantity.
