Administration: Rules (especially no underage drinking, no drug use, Honor codes and parking spot rules) are taken pretty seriously which is a great thing.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: There is definitely diversity and clubs and organizations related to them. However not a lot of students in them as the college is medium sized student body! But, one good thing is religious beliefs and all cultures are accepted.

Local Area: There aren't many activities or attractions near by. Few places such as bowling, movie theaters and a mall near 10-15 miinutes. However there are buses that go to NY, Philly, Boston, NC, and other cities for pretty cheap.

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of food places right near University of Delaware on Main Street. From various types of Pizzas, to several types of Mexican food places, other variation in Italian food besides Pizza, Chinese, Indian, Thai places, Starbcuks, IHOP, bakeries, Dunkin Donuts, Froyo, Icecream places and few other restaurants, late night places and several others. It is great- convenient and opens up a lot of options.

Majors: So many majors to choose from! UD also has a supportive program for students who haven't decided their majors.

Majors: The most important thing is that you try your hardest. UD won't do the work for you, but they sure will help you if you try!

Campus Housing: I loved living on campus and UD!

Greek Life: You will always see someone in wearing letters on campus, however, you don't have to be a part of Greek life in order to be someone in college, in my opinion.

5 College Senior

Diversity: There are many diverse people on campus and everyone is pretty accepting of everyone, regardless of race, sexual orientation, etc.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: There is a good amount of school spirit and fan support at most varsity games. The athletic facilities are very nice and well maintained.

By the end of their years here, most students look back and are happy with their choice. They've received a good education and generally met some people with whom they will keep in touch for many years in "real" life. This love of the school comes about gradually for many students. While some students love it automatically and fit in easily with the relatively homogenous campus, others take longer to find their place and truly start to enjoy themselves.

While many students have a slow start here at Delaware, they all report that once they decided to give it a chance, they found their experience rewarding both academically and socially. This University tends to provide a nice balance between a social life and an academic one. There is always plenty of time to hang out and get your work done, so no matter what you are interested in, you have a chance to get it all done. This is the major benefit of attending the University of Delaware.
