Greek Life: A lot of people here are involved with Greek life

Athletics: Going to the games at UD is always fun, especially homecoming weekend!

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: As an LGBT student myself, I feel the diversity here is top notch.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: It's been the best year of my life so far!

5 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I loved living on campus and UD!

3 College Senior

Greek Life: You will always see someone in wearing letters on campus, however, you don't have to be a part of Greek life in order to be someone in college, in my opinion.

5 College Senior

Diversity: There are many diverse people on campus and everyone is pretty accepting of everyone, regardless of race, sexual orientation, etc.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: There is a good amount of school spirit and fan support at most varsity games. The athletic facilities are very nice and well maintained.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: Wished I had researched more before coming to this school.

Diversity: The school can be more diversified.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Some dorms are farther away from my classes than others but it's a huge campus so that's only to be expected.

Overall Experience: I absolutely love the University of Delaware. My major is perfect and the courses I have taken and am currently enrolled in have enforced my strong desire to be a Secondary English Educator.

4 College Sophomore

Greek Life: My friends all enjoy the fraternities and sororities they have joined.

5 College Junior

Majors: Its easy to get into

4 College Junior

Majors: I love it and its exactly what I want to be involved in

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Lots of off campus housing available, they even added on this year building the retreat which is another off housing available at UD.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: Sports is everything, from intramural, to clubs, to varsity, every student can get involved and it doesn't matter what level you get involved with it will be COMPETITIVE! Its also another great way to make friends and get involved.

4 College Sophomore

Greek Life: There is a good ratio of people involved and not involved. 1-4 students are involved in greek life so, non greek students never feel out of place or miss out on the many things the university has to offer.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: The programs are good, but have their pros and cons. For instance if you are in a major you have preferences for certain classes and sometimes the class is held for you. The flip to that is that you have to wait for some classes, if it is no required for your major. For your respective majors there are internships and jobs available, you just have to go out and look for them.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: There are both paid internships as well as non paid. And they run during the school year as well as during the summer.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Dining is ranges from all types of foods, we have tons of restaurants all along main-street from chipotle, to iron hill, grottos, california tortilla etc. All have discounts for students and some places are open till 3am for students.

By the end of their years here, most students look back and are happy with their choice. They've received a good education and generally met some people with whom they will keep in touch for many years in "real" life. This love of the school comes about gradually for many students. While some students love it automatically and fit in easily with the relatively homogenous campus, others take longer to find their place and truly start to enjoy themselves.

While many students have a slow start here at Delaware, they all report that once they decided to give it a chance, they found their experience rewarding both academically and socially. This University tends to provide a nice balance between a social life and an academic one. There is always plenty of time to hang out and get your work done, so no matter what you are interested in, you have a chance to get it all done. This is the major benefit of attending the University of Delaware.
