Health & Safety: The security and police services on campus are great, they are always on the look out, driving around campus making sure everyone is okay and safe.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The professors here are definitely tough, but they are also understanding and are willing to help their students. If your having trouble, go see your professor. They're the only one who can change and bring up your grades.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: There are multiple flyers around school notifying students about the various internships happening over the summer and job opportunities for recent graduates.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Living on campus is great, even if you don't have a ride. The metro bus comes to campus every hour and the campus is surrounded by various restaurants and stores. The dorms are new and very nice. Very spacious and clean.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: There are greek clubs on campus, but they aren't really a big thing. If you're not in a greek club, it won't make a difference on how you get treated by both greek members and non-Greek members.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: There's always something going on that involves the students, whether that would be a white out basketball game or a earth day event, establishing the importance of recycling and composting. There is one almost every night!

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Its, great overall. I enjoy going to majority of my classes and I love the way my professors teach. Plus, being near a large area of mountains makes the experience much more fulfilling.

Overall Experience: You're going to have favorite professors and professors that you really hate. Then there will be some average teachers you don't connect with at all. You never really know here.

Health & Safety: As the university has started to grow and expand percautions are taking place. Such as adding new officers, tranings, housing survallence, and making future plans for security and the expansion of the university.

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Housing: I have lived on campus the majority of my college career the housing situation is growing and getting bigger. Before we couldn't take students because the amoutn of space we have now we at 9 new buildings for housing. Everything is growing and getting better with housing. Any problems I have ever had is heard by the facilitator. There are people on call for all buildings in the case something happens and the RA's are very well trained.

Greek Life: I hear but some of the community service but not all the time. At one time they had a bad rep but now it's pretty chill. They are now not known for great things nor bad things. It's a sense of community and being apart of something. The school does not want to be over shadowed by these groups because of previous reps and what these groups look like at our sister school. The univeristy will support anything community or educational but will not tollerate a group contolling it . We don't have a Frat anymore because of there abuse and acusations in which the university had to take action and expell it.

3 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: The school is growing and getting better but at first here wasn't a lot of diverity or support for certain things. Now as it's growing my hopes are for this school to be great in all area's not just engineering or nursing.

4 Recent Alumnus

Athletics: There aren't a lot of support from the school as of pep but the programs are important and very intense.

4 College Junior

Diversity: Fairly diverse campus with varying religions, sexual orientations, and ethnicities. Students and faculty are very accepting of different people.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: Greek life is not a huge part of school or the activities outside of class.

3 College Junior

Athletics: Opportunities for students to join sports as part of a club/for fun.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Class sizes are small and professors generally interact very well with students and are willing to help outside of class.

4 College Freshman

Greek Life: THey play a big part at this university, second to athletics

4 College Freshman

Athletics: People get really involved in sports here, it's kind of overwhelming.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: USD has been a great experience, it is just a reflection of South Dakota small town feel. I think that's what makes it unique. You see a lot of people form your high school.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I always feel safe. There's always security around

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: A lot of professors are great and passionate
