The school is cool, campus seems like a great place and it really felt like waling on a University campus. They're also expanding on the amenities for students for which awesome. However, I am a non-traditional student who works full-time and has 3 kids. For my degree program, there are not enough online options so I will now have to transfer to another school. Also, The new amenities are cool, but be prepared to pay A LOT of student fees on top of tuition rates. Even if you have a degree program that offers online classes and you are not on-campus to utilize everything you pay for, you still have to finance it!

The student life is pretty good on campus. You can almost guarantee something will be going on every night. The university works hard to make sure there is plenty to do for students, so they don't get caught up in the drug or alcohol scene. The university is also very supportive of student-created clubs. I have a friend who created his own club called 'Totally Classic Movies'. They choose which movies they think are totally classic, and every Wednesday they rent a room in the University center and play the movie. They have popcorn and soda, and anyone can come watch. The school Library is HUGE! It is also always very quiet, and nice to study in.

I personally have found a lot of good opportunities at UCCS. I was very happy with the choice of my school and I still am. It isn't too big and it isn't too small either. Greek life is awesome and the office of student activities provides students plenty of choices for events and fun things to do on and off campus! One thing that makes my school unique is the health care system. We are given the opportunity to pay for health care for the full semester. It means so matter how many times you go to the health center, or what medications you need, it is always completely covered. It was extremely beneficial to me my first year!
