3 College Freshman

Party Scene: Downtown Colorado Springs has a few places for people to hang out and party at on the weekends but it isn't very interesting or unique.

2 College Freshman

Party Scene: It seems fairly immature students partake in the party scene and it's more obnoxious than anything. Don't go here if you are looking for a diverse, mature, or specific party scene.

4 College Freshman

Academics: The instructors are dedicated, the curriculum great, registration process is fairly easy, workload is what you would see from any good college, there are lots of options for tutoring and study help, and there are many good places to study and relax.

Diversity: The diversity is average in that you would find this in most schools this size.

Drug Safety: You can some people come to class and spend their day high but it doesn't affect me or anyone who doesn't really do drugs.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I feel super safe on campus and I know there are plenty of places to go to if there are any problems you may have. Everyone employed here is willing to help you with anything.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: It's a great education. If that's what you're here for you'll definitely get that. Socially it's not too diverse or anything special but its alright. Dorm life isn't too great but it's not too awful either. You're paying for your education mostly.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I don't know too much but I am sure there are decently good job opportunities and the alumni are very patriotic and supportive of everything. The campus has great services and resources for any needs of any student.

2 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The quiet hours aren't really enforced on my floor. I go to bed early most nights because I do early morning workouts and have early morning classes. It's frustrating when people are running around, talking loudly, and yelling outside my window until early morning hours on any night of the week. The dorms are fairly nice. Unfortunately, when i moved in I found many things that don't work, are constructed poorly, and where not maintained.

2 College Freshman

Greek Life: Our Greek life is very small and has no effect on the social life of the school. It would be nice to have more options and a more evolved Greek life.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: I don't personally attended too many athletic events so I don't take facilities too much into consideration but they are very nice and very accommodating.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I am definitely getting an quality education. On the other hand, the social aspect of the school isn't what I had expected. I feel as though there is only a handful of different types of students. It is a smaller school and doesn't have a large variety of majors. The Greek life is little to none and and there isn't much of an art or music scene. All in all, if you want a smaller instructor to student ratio, great education, and are looking for a normal and quiet college experience, then UCCS is a great school to apply/go to.

Athletics: everyone has a lot of school spirits on the athletic scene

4 College Student

Overall Experience: i am really enjoying my first year at college

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I feel very safe when I am on campus. The campus police are very present and effective at their jobs. One of my teachers was also a police lieutenant, and this even furthered my feeling of safety.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I do not live on campus. I have never heard anything bad about living on campus, and have heard many good things about it. If I didn't live within close proximity to the school, I would definitely live on campus.

4 College Freshman

Greek Life: I don't know much about Greek life on campus, and am not very involved with it. However, the people involved seem very nice and open, and I have never seen anything bad come of it. They certainly up the happiness and energy of the community.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: The sports teams are great, and the athletic facilities are very good. Soccer and basketball are a huge part of varsity and club sports on campus. I am somewhat disappointed with the lack of other sports, such as track and field, gymnastics, and swimming. The sports that they do support are supported very well.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I would definitely make UCCS my first choice if I could do it over again. They have a fantastic physics program, and I am gaining very useful and applicable knowledge. The learning environment is also very productive, with a large, open, expansive library, well-equipped labs, and exemplary excel centers.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: they have on campus therapist that help for $15/hr

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: no communal bathrooms so that's a plus

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Girls have a bigger desire on campus for it than males

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: the rec center just got a great new expansion

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: small, great professor to student ratio

4 College Junior

Drug Safety: Personally I don't hang out with people who partake in the use of drugs, but what I do hear from others is that they aren't pressured into taking or doing any drugs. Drug safety is highly enforced on campus and tries to limit the amount of students who are involved with drugs.
