When it comes to on-campus dining, there aren't a lot of options. For the most part, if you visit the student center, expect to chow down on your typical fast food menu items: burgers, fries, pizza, and chili. The lines are generally pretty horrible from noon until 2 p.m. because students are taking breaks from class to grab lunch. It's not ideal to go to Tangeman if you're looking for a quick, healthy meal. Subway is a great addition to the on-campus food lineup because it's one of the only healthy food options. There's also a new Chick-fil-A. However, these places can be extremely busy at lunchtime. Oftentimes, there is a line out to the door, so if you can wait until mid-afternoon for a meal, it's probably worth the wait.
The dining halls are decent but expensive if you don't have a meal plan. They tend to be steady as far as business goes, but you can get in and out quickly. The food isn't amazing—it's basically dining hall food—but students will appreciate the variety the dining halls have to offer. For the most part, there are several different stations where students can get any kind of meal they like. The stir-fry station, when it's offered, is great and a healthier option than pizza and hamburgers. But you could probably get it cheaper at the Chinese restaurants off campus.
