Health & Safety: UCF has a very good system when it pertains to safety on campus.

5 College Junior

Health & Safety: UCF takes the health and safety of its students very seriously. All students must take a mandatory educational module on drug and alcohol use as well as sexual assault and consent. Furthermore, UCF PD has an active presence on campus and at any time a student can press an emergency button (located about every 100 feet) and be escorted by a security member to their destination if they feel unsafe. The security personnel on campus are very friendly and willing to help, even if you're only lost and need directions. I feel very safe on campus.

Health & Safety: Security patrols the streets at UCF, I never feel threatened by anything.

Health & Safety: There are victim services to help those affected. There are flyers everywhere encouraging people who are victims to reach out and get support and help.

If you are considering doing something illegal on campus, don't do it; you'll most likely be caught. UCF has its own police station located on campus, and many officers can be found patrolling the campus. Always drive with caution and obey the speed limits; there's often an officer with a radar gun waiting in the wings. I guess if this is the worst thing that UCF students have to worry about, then it can't be all that bad; Right? Absolutely.

Don't hesitate to call for a Safe Ride if you're on campus after dusk. This is an excellent service that UCF provides so that you'll arrive safely at your destination, whether it be the parking garage or your dorm room.
