Health & Safety

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: There are emergency lights on campus for alerting the authorities to a victim that's located next to them and there is a police patrol that can take you anywhere you want on campus at any time. I feel it's pretty safe for the size of the campus but anything can happen so I try not to walk alone at night.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: The security is okay. The campus has gotten so large over the years that I think they really cannot maintain a safe environment if someone wanted to commit a crime. The campus is beautiful and has many places for privacy/studying however with that comes isolated areas which are not secure.

UCF has a great communications service if there IS something going on, but there have been too many incidents surrounding the school.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: the emergency call stations make me feel safe on campus

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I always feel safe here, lived here for over a year and i've never felt threatened.

If you are considering doing something illegal on campus, don't do it; you'll most likely be caught. UCF has its own police station located on campus, and many officers can be found patrolling the campus. Always drive with caution and obey the speed limits; there's often an officer with a radar gun waiting in the wings. I guess if this is the worst thing that UCF students have to worry about, then it can't be all that bad; Right? Absolutely.

Don't hesitate to call for a Safe Ride if you're on campus after dusk. This is an excellent service that UCF provides so that you'll arrive safely at your destination, whether it be the parking garage or your dorm room.
