Campus Housing: While UCF does well in providing student housing, it's expensive in comparison to off campus housing. It's not bad, but it's not great either.

5 College Senior

Athletics: Ever since our QB was drafted into the NFL, Knight's have been looking better than ever. We also have HUGE school spirit seminars.

5 College Senior

Campus Quality: UCF isn't the second largest in the nation for no reason! It takes good care of itself, and feels amazing to walk around!

5 College Senior

Scholarships: UCF not only gives me a full time scholarship despite my GPA being crap, but they also have very low tuition!

3 College Junior

Diversity: There is a large diversity of students at my university.

4 College Junior

Athletics: The athletics at my university give students an opportunity to enjoy sports that they like to play. Also the athletics at my school give students the chance to meet other students.

5 College Junior

Majors: I love my internship at Siemens as a Junior tech. They work with my school semester and I get paid almost twice minimum wage. My engineering internship requires me to learn new technologies which was a bigger time commitment in the beginning, but now that I understand them I'm doing my job with little stress. Finding internships is all about who you know.

4 College Junior

Majors: Find friends that are smart and already working. They passed my resume to the boss I have now and that's how I got an interview.

2 College Junior

Health & Safety: I don't feel unsafe walking in the dark to my car, but we have had quite a few stabbings in the past year. We also had someone threaten to shoot people in the dorms. That hit really close to home since my friends lived on the same floor as the kid who went crazy. We have bomb threats a couple times a semester, which no one really says if it's a false alarm or not.

3 College Junior

Campus Food: After freshman year no one eats at the dining halls anymore. They're pretty boring. There's always the same five stations with little variety. The quality is decent and I've never gotten sick from any of their food so I'm satisfied. It's the most convenient option if you live on campus.

3 College Junior

Party Scene: The qualities of parties have gone down. There's nothing to do but drink and play beer pong. Usually they have stuff set up for the designated drivers and some more creative games if you're drinking. People are lazy now.

5 College Junior

Local Area: Orlando is fantastic. We have Disney, Universal, Sea World, Water parks, and tons of small fairs throughout the year. We have a bunch of concerts and comedians come in to town all the time and they are currently building a huge soccer arena downtown. People don't mind students because we're the ones paying for stuff in the off season and we usually get pretty good discounts on attractions.

2 College Junior

Greek Life: Our schools fraternities recently had a run in with underage drinking and my freshman year a girl died from alcohol poisoning. They try to philanthropy, but the fraternity members will openly admit they don't fill their 10 hour quota for community service a year. Greek students are viewed as arrogant and generally shallow.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: There are a bunch of school affiliated housing options. They usually have shuttles that take you to and from campus. Security can only be monitored so much since everyone is coming and going with their friends at all hours. Most of the housing is relatively cheap unless you want a big room or less than 3 roommates. Parking is awful no matter where you go.

4 College Junior

Diversity: There are variations of ethnicity around campus. There's a pretty mixed group on campus. Wednesdays they all put up tents outside our Student Union and try to tell people about them. It's pretty interesting and there's no bad blood between any of the groups on campus.

3 College Junior

Administration: Campus policy is really only enforced for things like underage drinking which is understandable. As for academic honesty, our school has a pretty strict policy. They use turnitin.com to double check that we aren't plagiarizing material and cheating is looked at with zero tolerance.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Professors are hit or miss. I've had a few great professors that I would love to continue to talk to throughout my college career and others who had such little respect for students that I watched the lectures online and didn't even bother coming to class. Courses are pretty difficult, but most of the time professors want you to pass so they give projects which are about work ethic so that helps boost students grades.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I currently have an internship at Siemens. The schools location is the main contributor for this, otherwise it was my friends recommendation that got me the job. I think this shows networking even though they aren't alumni yet, students help each other out. The career services center is fantastic. The staff that work there are extremely helpful and the practice interviews are decent for preparation.

4 College Junior

Campus Quality: We have great traditions and were just ranked first in college traditions for the once a year Spirit Splash we have where everyone jumps in to the huge fountain on campus.

The library has tons of floors and besides finals week, it's pretty empty. Now they even let you book study rooms online 24 hours in advance.

Campus events have gotten better since our football team has improved. We have more tailgating now. Other events like Late Knights is around for a nonalcoholic option to a Friday night. They do it once a month and generally it's all freshman who go.

Academics: Being an engineering major is difficult because the teachers don't speak good English and the school itself has students jumping through so many hurtles that it's difficult to know what you need to do to graduate.

3 College Junior

Academics: They try to provide extra help for each class, but the teachers assistants don't know enough to be helpful. In most cases students have given up on asking for help from outside school affiliated sources and turn to each other for help.

4 Recent Alumnus

Party Scene: We are one of the top 5 party schools in the nation, so naturally the party scene is insane and outright crazy.

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Quality: Anything you can think of doing on campus (that isn't explicit or illegal) one can do anywhere on campus. There are a lot of study spots, environments for students who need any help or exercise.

4 Recent Alumnus

Academics: I like my major. I have great professors, the workload is very manageable, I have access to internships and job opportunities that people don't take advantage of unfortunately. It's very good.

4 Recent Alumnus

Academics: My school offers any course of study you can think of, engineering, nursing, sports medicine, medicine, business, law, etc. My school is recognized as one of the best for the wide variety of study areas we offer.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
