5 College Student

Academics: Love It – Academics is the biggest thing at this and I;m proud to say that they offer many different and different things for you to study when you get there. Professors are really cool and always willig too help the workload is a lot because you are getting a very good education

5 College Junior

Majors: I've never had one but there are alot of opportunities for students. I do plan to get one next year.

4 College Junior

Technology: The computers on the campus are pretty reliable and able to search the web without any troubles. I am able to print without worry or problems and the network is pretty decent. The only downsize about it is that the campus is always crowded and it is hard to find a computer during the middle of the day. It is always best to have a laptop with you to save you the trouble, but people are alway coming and going so it isn't such a big problem.

3 College Junior

Diversity: Enough Variety for the Real World – UCF has enough variety to simulate the real world. Most place you work will not be all Black/all Asian, etc. So the diversity level is quite sufficient.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The campus is usually full of life, and most likely there is always something to do. Though there is some public transport, a car is kinda necessary if you wanna get around downtown Orlando. But as always its what you make of it, there something for pretty much everybody.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: Too Many People Too Few Spots – Parking is kinda of a problem, one must purchase a expensive parking pass in order to be able to park anywhere on campus. There really isn't much parking off campus, so if you depend on your car you will eventually give up and pay for it. After you will have to deal with severe lack of space for parking.

2 College Freshman

Administration: Pretty Strict – The campus policy on underage drinking and drugs are pretty strict. Drugs will get you expelled immediately, alcohol can get you arrested and facing disciplinary actions such as expulsion.

5 College Junior

Scholarships: UCF does a great job getting tips for students to apply for financial aid.

5 College Junior

Party Scene: UCF, has a great transportation system for college students who are intoxicated, and need a ride back to their housing. I think its a great program for the University.

5 College Senior

Campus Quality: I love that our school creates an atmosphere of family and community. UCF helps their study academically as well as with their personal life. For example, we have a pantry for students who are struggling to find food. Also, I love that my campus is beautiful, I will take anyone to UCF to visit.

3 College Senior

Weather: Florida weather is crazy hot! Since our campus is so huge it makes me frustrated when I have to walk from class to class in 101 degree weather! However, the weather is great for those who like outdoor activities like canoeing, jet skiing, and hobbies of that nature.

4 College Senior

Technology: The computer labs at UCF are very reliable, however being the 2nd largest school in the nation, there are limited spaces to access one. If students have their own commputers then they can easily access the web by entering their school NID number. Printing lab on campus is very significant, but we only have two to accomadate so many students! We are able to check out a lap top, but only for a certain amount of time so the students have to rush and do their work. Overall, UCF has an great system when it comes to internet access.

3 College Junior

Party Scene: my nightlife is somewhat interesting and keeps me entertained. i mainly work but there a lot of parties off campus. the bar/club scene is ok it's better downtown in more of the city area. cabs are available everywhere

4 College Junior

Campus Food: theres a wide variety of places to eat on campus. every which way you turn theres a place to get a coffee or a sandwich. i personally love the coffee shops on campus.

4 College Junior

Campus Quality: Student Center – good places to eat, everythings clean, information is well given

3 College Junior

Administration: Drugs and Alcohol Are Not Tolerated – If you get caught with one or the other on your first time, you will be kicked out of your housing; if you happen to live on campus; and expelled from the college.

3 College Junior

Athletics: The Football Team Is Great – The football has a great fan base and I've never seen so much school spirit in my life. Everyday I see at least 20 people wearing UCF affiliated school shirts.

5 College Junior

Academics: Profes Really Help Prepare You – At UCF the theatre professors really do prepare for the real world of performing. They never sugar coat it and tell you just like it is. All the professors have worked as professional actors, directors, stage managers, costume designers, etc outside of school and for over 10 years. Many of them still participate but not as much due to their teaching responsibilities. They have a very personal experience with you and I love that about the program.

2 College Freshman

Drug Safety: There are many students, especially underclassmen, who drink like it's water or juice they're drinking. Then there are the people who smoke. I would find this at all schools.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: There are different students from all over the country.

4 College Freshman

Academics: School of Possibilities – UCF is one of the most modern universities in the country. Engineering is a field that students will thrive on at UCF. Orlando houses some major engineering firms, which are a perfect place to head to after gradation. There are a variety of engineering majors, such as electrical, mechanical, civil, and aerospace. Workload depends on your major. There are study abroad programs and organizations that relate to specific majors. There are also different sources to get tutoring, counseling, academic advising, and help with financial aid.

1 College Freshman

Party Scene: Nightlife is geared towards the 21+ crowd ... ever since the banning of alcohol at Greek events, UCF knightlife tanked. :|

3 College Freshman

Technology: They're always packed, and there's at least a 30 minute waiting list throughout the day.

3 College Freshman

Majors: Economics Pending – Since I am only as freshman, I am Economics pending which means that I am not actually in the Economics program yet. The program is not that hard to go through as longs as I'm strong in mathematics, but it is competitive so I will probably have to pick up either another major such as Finance or Accounting or a minor like Math. The economy isn't doing so well so my perspective jobs aren't too realistic or promising. However, this is something I want to do and i have a lot of connections in the field so I am very confident in my ability.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: Socially Diverse but Not Economically Understanding – I think the UCF is a very diverse school especially because of its large size. The school is the largest in the US by enrollment so it is natural that there would be a very diverse group of students. This is refreshing to find and I myself as a black student has not found any challenges dealing with other people being of black race. People seem to be really mature and accepting to racial diversity as the school is very laid-back. However, I do find that the university doesn't provide enough support to black students at least in my case who could've received a lot of more financial support from a school like USF.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
