4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I am so impressed with the programs designed for freshman students..Endless club activities. UCF wants freshman to get involved. I started first week of school in a club to promote spirit at football games. alot of fun body painting, passing out stuff at games to get everyone ready in school colors

Off-Campus Dining: Proximity and Variety Are Needed – There are many places to eat off campus but not close enough or offering variety. Many students don't have personal transportation to get to an establishment far off campus, but are capable of walking a short distance. In addition, more variety of food needs to be offered than what is currently available.

5 College Freshman

Transportation: Buses Best – Can get a ride anytime, also can request a cart ride after hours by calling.

4 College Freshman

Administration: Exam Quiet Time – I really like the enforcement of quiet tome for exams. the student union is available 24 hrs for snacks, internet, study groups. UCF enforces the dorm policy for students who do alot of studying that it remain quiet..no parties etc. They also fine students, however I'm not sure of the extent.

Athletics: UCF, in my opinion, has never been at the top in the category of athletics. One thing about UCF Knights, though, is that win or lose we stick by our team. I have never seen more school spirit on other campuses like my UCF Knights. We are enthusiastic, determined, and best of all always fun-spirited.

Campus Food: Dining Options – I have never really used any of the meal plans available at UCF but I love the dining options provided on campus especially Chic-Fil-A and Wackadoo's. I don't know too many campuses where you could grab a beer after a long week of finals. I also feel that UCF provides many healthy options in addition to the fun options.

5 College Senior

Diversity: On UCF's campus diversity is obvious to the naked eye. Since my freshman year I've always felt welcomed because UCF makes it a point to allow each and every student to voice their opinion without criticism. UCF has many clubs that are geared to different types of people. For example, those who are trying to find their Caribbean roots can join the Caribbean Students Association as well as those who are interested in biking or guitars can join the Bike Club or Guitar Club. No matter how unique a students interest or background UCF allows us to create an environment where we are all comfortable.

3 College Junior

Majors: Not Very Challenging – I was expecting a Master's program to challenge me, but I have yet to write a paper near the length of my undergraduate works. The professors are knowlegeable, but I don't feel like expectations of the students are very high. I worry about finding a job in the area I'm interested in (K-12 ESL) because it seems the program focuses more on sending graduates abroad to teach.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: Since I attend night classes, it is refreshing to see security driving around. The campus is well lit and I have never felt unsafe walking back to my car at night.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Look Outside the University's Offerings – So many people apply for the scholarships on the university's website that it's necessary to explore other options like parent's work.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: Many on and Off Campus Options – The dining around campus is pretty solid and the restaurants on campus are good too but the dining halls are mediocre

5 College Freshman

Campus Quality: The Beauty Draws You in – The campus and surrounding areas are gorgeous. I've visited at least five other schools in Florida and none have come even close to the modern or inviting feel of UCF. Everyone knows that a good first impression is fundamental to any decision.

1 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Big School, No Connection – I do not know whether it is because the campus is so large or it's just the people, but everyone at UCF keeps to themselves. No one says hi. No one initiates conversation. If you don't live on campus or go to every party then there is a very small chance of making friends.

3 College Freshman

Academics: Getting Past Gen Ed Classes – The hospitality program at UCF is amazing with so many opportunities because of its tourism focused location. However to really be in this major, you must attend an entirely different campus. The hospitality program is all state of the art, but the classrooms on the main campus are old and over crowded.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: Melting Pot of Orlando – There is a wide range of diversity at UCF. Many clubs house the diversity of the students. In walking around campus for an hour, you can see a variety of cultures, religions and ethnicities.

4 College Freshman

Academics: Challenging but Worth It. The academics are challenging but most professors are willing to help you with anything that you need. The school offers many tutoring and advising options that provides guidance to students. Most professors make it very enjoyable to attend class.

5 College Junior

Administration: As my first year in a big university, i found parking your car and arriving to class on time a real issue; theres is no direction , everybody is rushing to class, there is traffic. i remember one time having to park in the professor parking because i could not remember where parking A,B,C,D,F were all situated.

5 College Junior

Drug Safety: Not Popular – the drug or alcohol scene at my school is not big at all. i cant really acknowledge if i ever saw anybody drunk or on drug. i guess it depend mostly on which group of people you party with. i cant really say much on something i never saw occurring.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Very Safe – I feel very safe walking around campus at night by myself. Of course, I get a bit paranoid, but that is just human nature. There is usually always some type of maintenance, security, or employee working around campus at all times so I know I am not alone.

4 College Junior

Academics: it feel like i am growing, not just a kid no more who use to depends on parents for answer. its a great feeling to know that i participating and learning about something new. my major is health science so i a beginner i get to touch on every subject in biology; sexuality, diseases ,plants, birth and many more.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Average Campus Experience – Parking is awful, the school is obsessed with making money off of fining you for parking violations.
Some professors slack off, but others go above and beyond.
Average campus experience.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: With my acceptance letter I received notification of a scholarship offer based on my grades and test scores, I didn't even have to fill out a specific scholarship application. The scholarship was a big factor in my decision to attend UCF.

2 College Junior

Health & Safety: Crime on/near Campus is not great, we sometimes get e-mail notifications of robberies, and I even knew a group of friends you were robbed at knife-point just off campus after a night of drinking.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Safety at Its Best – The campus is relatively safe and issues are resolved quickly due to the fact that a Police Department is on campus. We are not in high school where there is one officer assigned. Our campus has the entire Police Department on campus. That include police cars roving and cycles watching. Sometimes we also have officers on horse back. UCF is a public school but the police officers keep crime down and safety at its highest. Other issues are minor.

2 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: Apartments Are Expensive – apartments are expensive, that's why I stay at home and also I don't need to live off campus or since the campus is really close to where I live but overall apartments are extremely expensive

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
