4 College Freshman

Academics: Every level of skill is measured through testing and places you in the correct class, and even if you bomb a placement exam, the professors always help you find the right class levels for you.

Athletics: We have amazing school spirit from the spirit splash, which is one of the best traditions in the US, to our amazing football team, the UCF Knights! There are 50,000 students on campus and I think everyone goes to every game.

4 College Freshman

Academics: I am a health science pre-clinical major and I have been interested in Physical therapy for years. The programs and opportunities at UCF are exactly what I am looking for and really get you hands on experience in order to figure out what you want to do.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: The diversity on campus is amazing and everyone who is a student is accepted. At orientation, which I thought was such a good idea, there was a skit about college students and they each portrayed different racial backgrounds, sexual orientations, and religious beliefs. At the end of the skit, we got into little groups to discuss it, and we all agreed and were very accepting of each situation. I felt very comfortable to be myself.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: The school is very large. There are individuals around that do drugs, however there are just as many activities aiding in having fun and not being intoxicated. For example, UCF hosts Late Knights once a month. It is a alternative event where they give out free food, tshirts and prizes and no drugs.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: If you do your research and apply you can get very good ones. There are many programs available to help.

2 College Junior

Parking: Too many students. Sometimes construction makes roads closed. Closed garages for ceremonies and repairs.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: They offer some for very specific scholarships but not that many.

3 College Junior

Campus Food: They have a wide selection. More than my old school.

5 College Junior

Majors: I am very happy with my Legal Studies major. I am learning a lot and I think it will be helpful when I get to Law School.

4 College Junior

Majors: We have a lot of different majors to choose from at UCF. Everyone can find what they are looking for on campus.

3 College Junior

Diversity: The diversity on campus is very good. You can easily find groups for any religion, national origin, race, and political beliefs.

4 College Junior

Majors: I am in the Legal Studies program at UCF. I enjoy it because the program is fairly small and teachers begin to learn you by name.

Campus Quality: Have not had a class but the people in the admissions are very helpful

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Quality: UCF does have a great library and a lot of green space to study

3 Recent Alumnus

Off-Campus Housing: Just a lot of high price apaetments and not in very good shape

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Considering UCF is steadily becoming more and more renown, there isn't really a large variety of available off-campus housing and the ones that are available are relatively expensive.

4 College Junior

Administration: Like in most universities, UCF has a good amount of capable police officers throughout the campus that will easily and will definitely enforce any and all policies placed by the campus administrators.

4 College Junior

Diversity: At UCF, there is a large variety of races, religious background and sexual orientation but it is easy to see that UCF is intensely fighting for their students to be more open minded and be able to fully immerse themselves into all of the diverse groups UCF offers.

3 Recent Alumnus

Scholarships: Because the school is so large they offer a decent amount of student scholarships which you can find on their website.

Technology: There's two fairly large computer labs that you can visit if you need to use a computer and don't have your own. Also multiple places where you can print things out either for free or very cheap.

Diversity: It's a huge university (I believe we're over 30,000 on the main campus now) so diversity is obviously not something you need to worry about. You'll meet people from every state as well as mayn foreign countries on a consistent basis.

Party Scene: Weak Frats – Compared to most schools I've visited, the frat parties are a bit lacking. While the occasional banger will be thrown (maybe once a semester), the frats don't know how to get down and usually consist of their usual small clicks plus a few extra girls they've sprinkled in to take advantage of. They could take a few pointers from some SEC school frats that's for sure. Stick to the house parties and main bars if you want to have fun.

Scholarships: Ucf's website has a link to a majority of the available scholarships at the time. In fact, that's how I found out about this scholarship. My only complaint is that sometimes scholarship applications and disbursements have to be regularly checked on, so no errors occur. However, it is well worth the effort if it helps with paying for school. Every little amount helps.

Drug Safety: We have a on-campus police force that does an excellent job in controlling and preventing drug use on the campus. I have yet to see any examples of peer pressure. I have seen controlled drinking, but only because there is a restaurant on campus that serves alcohol.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
