3 College Junior

Technology: Print labs are backed up most of the time. Internet is slow or drops often. A personal printer is a huge help, but not necessary, but a personal computer is definitely needed

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: Campus housing is kind of outdated. The insides of the dorms are actually fairly large and they have cleaners that come once a month.

4 College Junior

Administration: Security on campus is very strict and also treats many students like they are criminals even though they are doing absolutely nothing wrong. My view is that if you're not doing anything bad, then you don't have to worry about getting in trouble. It's safety not strictness.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: Scholarships aren't advertised to students enough. You really have to dig to find scholarships that you are eligible for. Most of the time you miss the deadlines because they weren't promoted enough.

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Off-Campus dining at UCF is full of variety. There's everything from Mexican to Japanese. They're are close to campus which makes them convenient and affordable for college students.

Weather: Living in Florida, the weather is unpredictable. The mornings are cool and breezy and as soon as the sun rises, the heat hits. It goes from 79 to 90 degrees in a matter of fifteen minutes. It also rains randomly during the day for about thirty minutes to an hour. This makes every day unpredictable. In the mornings it's nice and then the rain will drop while you are switching classes or going back to your car. It limits social experiences especially with the extreme heat and humidity during outside events. But, whether cannot be controlled so we do our best to have good experiences on campus.

5 College Freshman

Academics: Great academics at UCF, everyone is helpful and the classes are interesting. If you get stuck on something there is always someone there to help you get through it.

5 College Freshman

Party Scene: There is almost always something to do around campus and off campus, you can drive 30 minutes and be at downtown disney, or universal!

5 College Freshman

Academics: UCF has so many different majors offered it is amazing. I have a wide variety to choose from and everyone around campus is always so helpful! The professors are willing to work with you if you're stuck on something and there is always extra help avaliable!

4 College Freshman

Parking: The parking can sometimes be a nuisance. There are very few garages that are free parking but spots fill quickly. Other parking mandates a parking fee per semester that's well in the hundreds but its good parking because its close to classes. A car isn't really needed but unless you are interested in eating in off campus places or other entertainment options, everything is in campus. It's just a walk away.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The campus houses are nice. The space is efficient and well to work with. The freshman dorms at UCF are a bit of a distance from classes but other than that the dorms are great.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I've never had a problem so far on campus. UCF has a very good security on campus and the emergency blue posts in the parking lot is very reassuring especially walking by at night from classes.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Food: There are three kinds of meal plans on campus. I had one my freshman but this year I'm not. The cost of a meal plan doesn't seem worth it since the food from the dining hall is a little repetitive. They do try to switch it up sometimes and even ask students to offer feedback. Most of the other meal options are at or near the student union which are the best places to eat. It's different for every student but for me it is cheaper to eat at different places then spend a bulk of money on a meal plan when sometimes you don't even go.

Campus Quality: At UCF there are never a shortage of programs. There the burnett honors college, learn program, lead program, excel program, and plenty of others for every major. Being in the engineering program, we have a direct connection with Lockheed Martin which offers internships every year. Also being in the excel program, there have been speakers from different companies come in and talk.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Living in the dorms are great if you want to be close to your classes and become more involved in student life. The downside is that it is definitely on the more expensive side. Sometimes the housing cost just as much as the tuiton and with that plus books, it can get costly. If you do choose to life on campus, the housing process is easy and convenient. Usually students would live on campus for a couple of years and then get an apartment with friends off campus but close.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: At my University, I've been happy with the engineering program. Recently there have been opportunities to take lab visits and see what it's like to do undergraduate research. The professors for the science classes are very hands-on having a separate lab day from the class. It helps clarify any questions I had during the class time.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I've decided to become an engineering major. There have been plenty of people saying how hard the classes for this major is but at UCF, there's always help. With the many resources like learning labs and tutor programs, there is never a shortage of help when it comes to difficult classes like calculus and physics. Also, I am a part of the excel program which focuses on stem majors (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). In this program there are more chances to form study groups and get extra help with graduate students. There are also plenty of undergraduate research opportunities. This program has put a positive outlook on finding a job after college.

Campus Quality: UCF's campus has several great attributes. Our gym is one of the centers of student life and has extremely easy access. It's modern feel is what keeps student coming back. Although the library is where most people go to study, other places like food joints are a great way to have group meetings with the choice of inside and outside tables. Lastly the student union is truly the center of student life. It's where to can buy tickets for events, eat, study, and find information.

3 College Junior

Majors: My process to get in to the College of Health and Public Affairs at UCF seemed to be average. I have never applied to any other bachelors program, but I know from friends some can be extremely difficult. My transition from the community college helped a bit in the transfer process because the two colleges work together to make it as smooth as possible for students.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: Though the campus itself during school is very clean and no drug abuse is noticeable, during football games it seems to be in excess. Most students tailgate and are clearly intoxicated relatively early in the day.

3 College Junior

Diversity: Students on campus seem to co-exist just fine, regardless of sex, religion, or race. I have not noticed any problems on campus, and if there are then it is minimal. Everyone gets along fine and I see a lot more interracial friendships than I ever have before.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Most of the building are better than those at other universities/colleges. You only share a bathroom with up to 4 people tops. The rooms are decent size...there are some maintenance issues and some building do need to be renovated.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: The food quality is alright, better than the typical high school cafeteria. Prices are reasonable generally. There is however an ample lot of fast food and unhealthy choices. But all in all, a great variety of places to choose from on campus.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: There is a diverse and friendly community at UCF! But there are a handful of people whom are disinterested, antisocial, and a bit condescending.

3 College Freshman

Campus Quality: Campus is generally clean but always under construction! Improvements can be made.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
