4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: If you don't have any holds on your account the financial aid process will go smoothly. So don't have holds and you won't have any problems

5 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: Student life is awesome! There's something here for everyone! UCF puts on alot of events and they give away alot of FREE things!

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greek life is pretty average and you don't have to join one to be "cool." The different greeks at the school are all kinds of diverse. Of course they party alot but greeks do have a higher than normal gpa than students who aren't greek

4 College Sophomore

Academics: The academics here is challenging sometimes but its really good. There are alot of good professors and the registration process isn't too complicated just as long as you don't have a hold on your account. The workload for the most part consist of 4 exams and maybe a few extra work so nothing serious

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Guys and girls get along and students are friendly

2 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: my roommate and i found a place in orlando a weeek befor school started, it not the best in the world. it kinda small but it only a mile away from the school and the price was very low.

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: There are tons of places to live Off-Campus in Orlando. Prices generally range from $450 - $750 depending on where you want to live. The average is probably $550 (per person) for a 4/4 apartment. Almost all apartments in the area offer per person leases with electric/utility caps. Those leases include cable, internet, and tons of amenities.

Majors: I am currently double majoring in Business Management (Entrepreneurship track) and Finance. I am very happy with the business classes I have taken so far. There are a lot of resources for students who want to pursue their passion outside of the classroom. My favorite is the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Any student (of any major) can head into the center with a business idea and get consulting/guidance on how to turn their idea into a real business. They even offer various workshops with guest speakers. The best part is, CEI is completely free. I intend to start my own business within the next few years and CEI has been extremely helpful with putting me on the right track.

Guys & Girls: Generally everyone here is nice. Some can get cliquey with their groups but it's never hard to make friends. With two gyms on campus and countless intramural sports/outdoor activities on campus; there are tons of ways to meet new people and the majority of students seem to be pretty fit. As with any school, there are both introverted and extroverted people, but the majority of students here seem to be friendly and outgoing.

5 College Junior

Diversity: With so many people on this campus (we are the 2nd largest school in the nation) you are bound to meet someone of any background.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: The athletics at the University of Central Florida are outstanding. For the varsity sports there is always a good turn out in the crowd with a mix between fans and students. Also, the varsity sports have been improving greatly over the years. The athletic facilities are amazing at UCF. The gym is enormous and has plenty of courts/areas for all types of recreational athletic play. In addition, a new gym has just recently been constructed and opened to the student body.

Academics: At the University of Central Floria, the academics never fall short of an A quality grade. There is a huge variety of curriculum programs available and the registration process couldn't be any simpler; it is all done online and if your class is full you are put into a waiting line that automatically enrolls you in the course if an opening is available. In regards to the professors, they are unbelievable. Nearly all of them try to make the lectures inviting and enjoyable so you don't have a terrible time even on the worst of days.

Guys & Girls: There are many different types of people that attend UCF. Many of the girls are good-looking and are involved in some way, shape, or form. a good amount of guys and girls are involved in UCF's Greek Life on campus in which many events take place constantly which also help the community philanthropically.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I'm currently in the College of Business and I have been extremely satisfied with the progress of my Education so far. The teachers have been extremely helpful and I have not encountered a bad teacher yet. I'm currently enrolled in a Marketing class that isn't too interesting; however, I always go to the class because the professor has found a way to make the class lively and interesting to anyone.

3 College Senior

Drug Safety: Each student is required to take a drug and alcohol awareness program during their first week enrolled. The school has a zero tolerance for drugs, alcohol, and recently smoking. The school finds ways to monitor use on campus and offers annoymous hotlines to report uses and peer pressure.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: The off campus housing is very clean and many places are fairly new with nice amenities such as small gyms and pools. There are alot real close to campus and many more within a short drive. The price is not cheap but its not too bad either.

4 College Junior

Weather: Some days it will rain out of nowhere, but we're in Florida, so what do you expect? Typically we have beautiful weather at UCF. The kind of weather that is not too hot, but not too chilly either. The 'just right' climate, that makes you want to sit outside by the fountain for no reason, only because the weather is nice.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: Living on campus will give you the best college experience you could expect. Many living communities on campus have cookouts, picnics, and different activities for college students to intermingle with each other. The social atmosphere living on campus is better than off campus living.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are plenty restaurants off campus that are convenient in location to the campus, and in price. Some restaurants even give discounts for college students.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: There are a few incidents that have happened near, or on campus, but it's not a ridiculous number. Maybe an incident here and there.

4 College Freshman

Academics: The Teachers are very good at the university of central Florida, and the classes are really great everyone really tries to help you out.

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: I have never seen anything involving drugs and alcohol but I would say that it would really matter with the people you hang out with. It is a smoking free campus

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: There is a great grant for students who may may not be as financially endowed. In addition, there is a scholarship bulletin that lists scholarships that can be applied for. There are also merit-based scholarships that are only available when you are applying to the school that you are automatically considered for. However, if you do not receive it, then you can't even apply for it anymore which is a huge loss. Work study is also available if you apply very early as spaces are limited. My tip for getting aid is applying early and often before the money runs out.

5 College Sophomore

Transportation: Transportation is very good at UCF. There are shuttles that take students to off-campus housing locations as well as the buildings where research is conducted. These shuttles are free of charge to students and come every 15 to 20 minutes. In addition there is a free shuttle that transports students around the campus to designated locations.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: Orlando is a huge city and there are many dining options available. Around main campus there is a variety of restaurants that range in price. Some are fast food and others are sit down restaurants in which many of them provide a 10% student discount. Many students love the Mexican restaurant, "Amigos" which they can drink dollar margaritas and enjoy inexpensive and delicious Mexican food.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
