3 College Junior

Administration: I feel the campus is not very strict

4 College Junior

Scholarships: Financial aid is prompt when answering questions and even answers emails in a timely manner

Campus Food: The amount of restaurants and places to eat is great! Much variety and choices!

5 College Junior

Campus Housing: It is a nice place to live

1 College Junior

Scholarships: Very hard to get financial aid

Off-Campus Housing: SO many places to live off campus! Living on campus freshman year is a must, but after that, I would just move away because its a lot cheaper and they're so nice! Just be careful and do you research on Facebook under UCF housing, there have been a few places recently that haven't been safe

Off-Campus Dining: UCF only has a couple of staple places to eat, like lazy moon and vespr. Other than that you're going to find endless chain restaurants.

Party Scene: The best part about UCF night life is how cheap everything is. You are guaranteed to get drunk for free but also guaranteed to have the worst hangover known to man kind. Pub and Library are fun freshman year or just for fun, but again, UCF is not really a college town. UCF greek life is really confusing and you won't find many frat parties (or alcohol there) because UCF is so strict. Overall the night life is not consistent. Downtown is much better, just 20 minutes from campus

2 College Sophomore

Administration: Extremely small-minded campus police. Give out citations and student conduct violations like their nothing. Orlando isn't exactly a "college town", nor do our police treat us like one. Very strict on, well, everything, they would rather have the satisfaction of punishing us unfairly than just sending us on our way and ensuring our safety.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I usually have been able to resolve my financial questions easily with out Accounting department!

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: Having Chick-fil-a, Einstein's, and jimmy johns is definitely great, those are the only acceptable places in my opinion! We don't exactly have any other real restaurants, and I would not be caught in a dining hall, our meal plan is notoriously gross

Campus Housing: Though UCF offers the more recent trends in student housing/dorms by creating rooms with individual bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as living rooms and full kitchens, (which I lived in Freshman Year) I found UCF housing to be unable to really connect with students/have open relationships between RA and student, and I also found that students who had so much of their own space forgot what "college" is about and neglected getting to know anyone around them.

Campus Food: I believe the amount of variety provided by the school is quite satisfying for the general student body. It is also my personal opinion that the overall values/prices are quite fair for what is provided.

Health & Safety: I always feel safe here, lived here for over a year and i've never felt threatened.

Athletics: Great gyms, activity around campus and general options for students in sports or out of sports to just kick a ball around, bike, or to jus the active and get outside.

Greek Life: Not really into frat/sorority life so I can't give a great opinion but I hear the living is an issue, as in conditions, space and off campus living conditions very run down and crime filled.

Off-Campus Housing: basically you pay for what you get in Orlando, and of course college students don't have that option nor get that concept so they complain, but there reasonably priced and you can find cheap, nice places to live in Oveido or around the area within 5-15 minutes that is nicely priced and really nice.

Off-Campus Dining: Love to eat out at great, nice expensive restaurants, to really any different kind of thai, asian, or indian mom and pop place that has amazing prices and amazing food. Great variety if you know the town, do research and look into whats around orlando. Hawkers is amazing

4 College Freshman

Party Scene: Depends on the person, but I can find a great night in a great little bar in winter park, with close friends till closing then going back to their places and having a good time.

4 College Freshman

Administration: not very strict, but if theres a clear issue than it is taken care of. They let you do what you want to do and keep to yourself, they're always polite and very sweet

2 College Freshman

Scholarships: I ended up getting the financial aid, yes. However, the pain I went through and the changing amounts of financial aid they were saying id receive was annoying and ridiculous

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: Not great if you have a food plan, if you just are walking around campus than starbucks cafe has good stuff and there are some decent things here and there that aren't too over priced that you can get on campus. not great, not bad

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I am in the best housing on campus, listening to others from the same or from other universities it could be worse, however for the 860$ a month on the room, sharing a tiny dorm with four other students is a lot of money to be paying.

4 College Student

Scholarships: Its pretty easy. Just comply with what they tell you to do and be sure to give in all the paperwork on time. Also, patience with the process

Campus Food: They are pretty good, we have options. They are also all pretty close, so we can choose at the moment. There is food for every taste

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
