Party Scene

{{ error }}
3 College Freshman

Party Scene: I don't party myself, but from hearing about it from those around me it seems to be very active especially in the Greek community. Many parties have themes and are thrown any day of the week not just particular to the weekend.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: I don't believe it has a positive impact on the student experience. I think that dangers things can happen at a party scene including rape and other situations like that.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: I don't know. I'm always studying in my dorm room.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: there are a variety of them. I honestly don't know about any of them.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: I'm not familiar with the bar/club scene but there is always a party to go to. It's really easy for girls to get in, but it can get pretty tricky for guys to be allowed into a party. Plenty of uber drivers to keep you from driving under the influence.

The campus party scene usually takes place at the end of the week and is mainly controlled by the fraternities and sororities, though it's not unheard of for a bash to be thrown in the dorms or someone's house. Locally, the bars and clubs are readily close at hand, especially for those who have a car. That is not to say that walking or cycling is out of the question, but the main areas of nightlife are few and far between, and can make for a rather long trek. It is recommended to travel in groups when touring the bars and clubs, not only to have a designated driver, but certain areas can be a bit unsavory. Underage students typically are restricted to shopping centers and movie theaters if they are unable to resist the temptation to drink with older student friends.

Outside of Riverside, weekend fun can be found in the relatively nearby Los Angeles, Orange County, or even to San Diego. The beaches and mountains are also easily accessible for the more adventurous party-goer or thrill-seeker.
