Campus Housing: i like the dorms. just enough space.

Overall Experience: get to live near the ocean.

Health & Safety: I feel very safe on campus. We're a small and quiet campus. We've had little campus crime. But when we do, a majority of campus crime is stealing. We security cameras and adults you can turn to.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: There's a variety of courses offered and the professor's are experts. They are some that are unfriendly but most of them are friendly and helpful.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Campus is very student friendly. They have free wifi and coffee for the students. The tutors in the student center are very knowledgeable.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: The options to obtain a degree in the class room or online are very high. If I have any questions the student adviser is always willing to help or sends me in the right direction of who can help me. Books are affordable, the online websites gives options for cheaper books, which helps out financially a lot! No complaints about this school yet.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I am going in to my second year at the University of Alaska in Juneau Alaska and I am very excited. UAS has been an amazing stepping stone out of my home town of about 2,500 people. The class sizes are small, the professors know you by name, but the material and content of the classes offered here are perfect for students who are looking for a small university to commit to for an associates degree.

3 College Junior

Academics: For my degree, I am able to take all my courses online.

3 College Junior

Academics: I take all online courses and the workload is about average.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: So far it is good.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Online classes have been straight forward with what is expected and most professors will get back with me right away.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: It would be great if I lived in Juneau because there is a lot of job positions and internships available in my field.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: They have always gotten back with me in a timely manner.

1 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: It is hard to get a decent place at a price that a student can afford

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Everything is pretty far from the campus

3 College Sophomore

Administration: Nothing good or bad to say

3 College Sophomore

Party Scene: I don't really know or care

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I wish they were more proactive in letting students know of the different options they have. They need to do a better job at informing us the type of paperwork we need to give them, instead of realizing there is a hold on our student account.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Food: Not a lot of healthy options.

I only purchase food as a last ditch effort because I am hungry.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: Our Rec Center is amazing, and UAS doesn't really have any sports teams so Residence Life/Student Activities Board plans camping trips/hiking trips to keep us entertained. Juneau has more than 100 trails, some of which are walking distance from campus.

Off-Campus Housing: Juneau, and most of Alaska is just a generally exepensive place because everything comes through canada or is barged/flown in.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Juneau is this quaint little hub of great seafood, Pel Meni, Saffron and Chan's Thai, as well as countless cafes and bakeries that are all excellent.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: It's a small school so if someone gets busted word travels quickly, and thats embarrassing. Other than that I don't notice a lot of rule breaking going on.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: There are a lot of scholarships offered in Alaska, and the Financial Aid advisor has hosted multiple seminars on Financial Literacy, Finding Scholarships, Job Hunting, Money Saving, and even has offered incentives for attending Scholarship 101 seminars (the chance to win gift cards)
