Campus Housing

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I don't live in campus housing, so I don't know much, but from what I can tell, it's decent. There rather well kept and allow students a lot more freedom than most colleges. UAA "residence halls" (they aren't "dorms" they're residence halls) are about a mile away from main campus, which is a nice walk in summer, and sh***y in the winter. Across the street from the residence halls is the new Alaska Airlines center, and students can walk through it and buy food at the little overpriced gift shop in there but otherwise it's just another building in the way of getting them to class on time. The Creekside Eatery which were a lot of the students living in the residence hall eat, has decent food, but once you've eaten it for two weeks straight, it starts to lose its appeal. Besides having four 3 residences halls, the North Hall, West Hall and East Hall, there are the MAC apartments, and the Templewoods which juniors and seniors get first priority in. They've got their own parking and laundry and kitchen, so that's pretty nice.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I do not live on campus. So, I have very little knowledge on campus housing.

2 College Freshman

Campus Housing: At the University of Alaska, Anchorage the dorms are something I wouldn't reccommend. It is very loud, crammed, the social vibes are bad, and it takes about 20 minutes to walk to the study buildings from the dorms. The money is not worth the value.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I don't live on campus, but I have heard that the dorms are average. Not too bad, but not fancy either.

5 College Student

Campus Housing: Some of the furniture is a little old but it is all being replaced and the dorms are huge!
