3 College Junior

Administration: The administration appears to be kind and understanding. They have always been helpful when I needed them, and they are only strict if you're doing something inappropriate.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: UAA is fairly laid back, because we're an "open" campus which means a lot people who aren't students can take classes here to get certificates and certifications. Campus police isn't just security, they're actual trained officers, so it's not wise to mess with them. On the other hand though, they're very quick to respond and send out alerts to students through email and text just to make sure their safe. A lot of events happen on campus, so I assume they're on their toes a lot, but not much really happens here except for the occasional weird thing. Parking is a HASSLE though. There's a lot of construction, so a lot of the parking lots have been taken up by big machinery. They're constantly fixing stuff around here, which is nice, but when they shut down half of a 1000 spot parking lot, it's more than a little frustrating. They're building a new parking lot, but it ain't no where near where the bulk of my classes are so it ain't gonna do much for anyone. Drinking at UAA is fairly lax too. Students are allowed a six pack of beer in their dorms at any time, and empties count, so be wary. I don't usually hear a lot of complaints from the dorms besides the fact that they are like 2 miles away from the rest of the campus. And there is no fraternity/sorority housing -- all the houses that are near the dorms are taken up by actual families.

3 College Senior

Administration: I honestly don't know much about the school policies on those following topics. I have had a bad experience with specific policies related to the College of Business and Public policy on their upper division status requirements.

4 College Freshman

Administration: I dont know much about the campus social life. I do know that parking is strictly enforced. Attendance for the classes i've attended were pretty well mandatory but also depends on the professor.

4 College Freshman

Administration: I constantly see administrators who are walking or talking to students about certain topics. It's nice to have administrators talk about policies about certain places or actions before anyone gets in trouble.
