Weather: Because I live in Alabama, severe weather is always a risk, especially in the Spring and summer. Whenever there is any kind of severe weather, classes and all school activities are always cancelled and it shows that the school does care a great deal about student safety. While it can be very inconvenient at times, safety is always more important.

Hot! Hot! Hot! If you like it hot, then Bama's weather is perfect for you. The summers are hot and humid, so bring shorts and flip-flops. UA students cool off during the summers by going to the pool, so make sure to bring a swim suit. The winters are cold, but it rarely snows. Students recommend sweaters and jeans, but heavy coats and scarves are not needed. An article of clothing you will need year-round at Bama is a raincoat or an umbrella. Rain comes and goes in the most random times.

It is "Alabama weather." This is the best way students can explain Tuscaloosa. Alabama weather is always changing at random times. One morning you can be wearing a T-shirt and jeans, and the next, you need a sweater. The best advice is to bring clothes for all occasions. The South is very humid, so prepare yourself for hot weather and never forget to have your raincoat nearby.
