Drug Safety: Honestly, I can't say I have personally seen anyone do drugs other than marijuana. I have heard of people transporting other drugs or selling pills to students but it is all very low key. It all just depends who you involve with yourself in order to encounter these drugs. I personally go out to parties and what not but have never seen anyone with cocaine or like really intense drugs, nor have I participated in it. It's your choice solely whether you get involved with it and most people could care less whether you do drugs or not.

Drug Safety: There is not much peer pressure to engage in drugs at my school. There are very strict rules about it and if any form of paraphernalia is seen in a dorm by an RA, there will be serious consequences for the student to face. Drugs are not acceptable and are not tolerated.

Drug Safety: Honestly, you don't have to drink to have fun. You can have parties and no have alcohol or drugs there. If you do partake in drugs or alcohol you know the consequences if you get caught. Usually you will get a warning the first time but if you get in trouble an excessive amount of times then there is a problem.

Drug Safety: I never felt pressured to use anything besides alcohol. I have heard of some fraternities requiring drug use of their pledges, which is frankly disgusting

Drug Safety: There is quite a bit of social drinking pretty much any night of the week. However, the drug scene is a lot less visible.

As far as drugs go at UA, if you want it, then you can get it, and if you don't, then you won't see it. Drugs are present at every school, and it is up to the individual to decide if they want to be around it or not. There is a rumor that cocaine is big at UA; however, most students say they have never seen it. The most common drug among UA students is Adderall, which students use to stay up late cramming for exams. During exam time, Adderall is everywhere. Students are not worried about getting busted for it since it is a prescription drug. Marijuana is also popular for some, but police are usually looking out for it. One thing for sure is that this town is a drinking town. Even if you are not 21, getting alcohol is no problem.

If a student is looking for a certain kind of drug, it can easily be found. However, most of the drug scene is kept quiet. Students not interested in drugs can easily stay away since they are not used by everyone. The Greeks are stereotyped to use drugs the most; however, drugs are kept hush-hush, so it is hard to tell. Although drugs are around, students do not feel pressured to do them.
