5 College Freshman

Athletics: We're the Crimson Tide. What else is there to say? I'm fairly certain that multiple national championships, not to mention both the legacies of Paul "Bear" Bryant and Nick Saban can all speak for themselves. We're undoubtedly the best in the SEC so can I get a Roll Tide?

5 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I like the dorm life but I'm ready to move out and into my own room.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Just don't get caught with it.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I have to have an internship to graduate. I'll start looking my junior spring semester for the summer.

Diversity: We have a safe zone for those students. There are plenty of groups who accept you for who you are.

5 College Sophomore

Technology: You can get a lab top if you need one it just can't leave the library. The wireless availability is good. I never had a problem with it.

Campus Food: When I have the money I love to eat off campus

Overall Experience: I love Alabama even though tuition is hard on my wallet I wouldn't change my decision about coming here. I would probably just have changed how I got here, I would have done school in North Carolina for 2 years then transferred for my last 2 years to Alabama.

Off-Campus Dining: I love eating off campus when I have the money for it

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: The bus will take you 1 mile off campus. If you can't drive for some reason that night you can call 348 ride to pick you up and take you back to your place on campus

Local Area: Tuscaloosa is a small fun town. There are some good places to eat such as, Mugshots, Glory Bound, and everyone's favorite City Cafe'. Shopping is good we have mall, then other shops around town. They have some attractions around town and city festivals that are fun too.

Academics: They teachers are always available, there are a lot of classes that can be taken here. Registration process is easy, its online and you are given a time based of credit hours. The workload varies because it depends on the class you take. The library is open 24/7 on exam week. It has different levels that get quitter has you go up. We have tutors and a writing center available.

Athletics: I heard they have their own smoothie king. They have their own gym too.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I'm living off-campus next year and I'm really excited! They have a bus that can take me to campus, it's relatively close to campus.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I never been to the Student health center but it beats going to the hospital, but I also heard you wait forever to get in to see the doctor.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: The parking permit cost $300 this year where last year it cost $250. I can usually find a spot in the dorm parking lot but if I can't I have to park across the street, that is hard to cross sometimes if it's busy. I never leave campus on game day weekends because it is hard to find a spot.

4 College Sophomore

Administration: There is usually nothing going on to where it has to be settled with force or by the police, but if something does occur it is usually handled as it should be by enforcement.

Technology: Depending on when you go to certain computer labs, it is tedious trying to find a computer, but it is possible. Other than that, there is always a computer available somewhere and the network is very fast and helpful.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: The parking decals are too expensive to my liking. It is usually hard to find a decent parking space when trying to get to class, even when you could have plenty of time to make it otherwise.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: So far I have had a great experience in my major. Not only are the adviors helpful, there are lectures and events available for education majors.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: The instructors and advisors are more than willing to help me plan out my future goals or help me when I am struggling with my academics.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: If you know your way around town, or as you learn, you can always find a new and good place to eat.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Even though we do not have many health options with food, there are programs and events available where you can learn and find some options that work best for you. I generally feel safe on campus, however, I would like to see more enforcement with safety from police when it is needed, like at night or at the clubs and bars.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: So far I have really enjoyed attending the University of Alabama. I plan on being more active on campus with organizations, community service, etc. I feel like when I do, I will have great lessons and experiences take take along with me from them.

University of Alabama students constantly brag about their school’s traditions and spirit, and their pride is shown throughout the town. Some say it’s the incredible education that drew them here, and others say it’s Bama football that brought them to this Southern school. But no matter what reason these students choose to come to UA, most believe it was the best choice they could have made.

After graduation, some students get a job, some further their education by going to UA’s grad school, and some even go to UA’s law school. No matter what the students decide to do with their future, they believe Bama has prepared them for it. Students advise upcoming freshmen to walk around the Quad, visit the Strip, or watch a football game to understand why so many love UA.
