Scholarships: The U of A Financial Aid Office was extremely helpful. While I really disn't want to have to go the route of using financial aid and student loans, the process was simple, easy, and personnel was helpful.

Party Scene: Personally the party scene is not something I am extremely interested in. I have been to a couple at the fraternities but I find the smell is repulsive and things are mostly very dirty (unclean).

Campus Food: It' s okay. I really don't eat campus food simply because my schedule is tight and the wait time at most dining halls are longer that I can stay. I often just grab a sandwich at the dorm or get fast food to go.

Campus Housing: I was extremely satisfied with the dorm I was in for the summer session. There was plenty of room as I shared with 3 other guys. The secuirity for entering the building was top notch! Pass cards were required. Communication with us from housing department was consistent and very helpful.

Greek Life: The alabama greek system is one of the biggest and best in the country. The houses speak for themselves- they are incredible. There is some resentment towards the greek system by some, not all, non greeks. As a member of this system, though, I highly endorse it. It was a great decision and well worth it.

Athletics: I don't think I can add anything you don't already know. We are Champions. Roll Tide.

Off-Campus Dining: Crimson2Go is the best thing about off campus dining. Gotta love getting real restaurant food delivered to your dorm late at night.

Administration: Campus Police are pretty great; they are cool with drinking and stuff as long as you aren't a danger to yourself or others- I've even seen some at parties casually monitoring everything but not bothering anybody. Tuscaloosa PD, on the other hand, is very strict, as is ABC.

As for other categories, parking is generally a nightmare but you won't get ticketed at night or on weekends so that's nice. RA's are pretty chill about room gatherings depending on the dorms. It's also fairly easy to get out of trouble if you appeal.

Scholarships: I'm a firm believer that Alabama's financial aid might be the best in the country. Incredible scholarships to a school with incredible value in itself.

Party Scene: I wouldn't want to party anywhere else; ROLL TIDE

Campus Food: I have the greek meal plan, so I cant really speak to the quality of the dining halls. Lakeside is infamous for being pretty iffy, but I've heard that Fresh Foods is pretty good, and Bryant is great although you have to pay extra for eating there. The greek food tastes good enough but is pretty fattening; the workers are awesome though and they are very open to suggestions.

Campus Housing: Not all of the dorms are amazing but there are plenty to choose from. Pres I and II are brand new suite style dorms that are amazing and full of freshmen. Ridgecrest South is the honors community. I live there and personally think it's the best. It's not as new as Pres but they're basically the same, plus it's a better location and we have a parking garage underneath our building. What could be better than that? (Nothing. That's what.) There are also several other suite style dorms, so really, if you want to live in luxury, you got it here.

Overall Experience: Go look up your professor before you register for a course. The reviews are not always helpful but it helps to get other students' opinions.

Athletics: Athletics at The University rank among the top! Football is the biggest here, but there are other sports that get a lot of attention. I wondered what I was going to do in the Spring when we didn't have football games, then I attended a gymnastics meet and I have not missed a home meet since. The gymnastics team is always near or at the top of the national rankings. Football and gymnastics are my favorites. Softball and basketball are some of the other sports that are enjoyable.

Off-Campus Housing: There are many housing options to choose from but they can be expensive, You just have to check which ones fit you and have the best deal.

Scholarships: The University of Alabama offers scholarships based on ACT/SAT scores. The award for the ACT begins at a 27. I cannot remember what the score begins at for the SAT. The scholarships based on your test scores are automatically awarded. There are scholarships awarded by each department and requires you to fill out an application.

Campus Food: Over the summer new restaurants were added to the Ferg food court. I eat at the Ferg most days of the week. The pricing is fair and I believe it is cheaper than the same restaurants that are off campus. My favorites are Cane's, Chick-fil-a, Subway, and Panda Express.

Campus Housing: I enjoy living in my dorm because of the convenience. It's close to my classes as well as the sporting events. I preferred living in a traditional style dorm because it has a better sense of community. It is not as bad as you think to live with a roommate. The housing process was easy; the online application guides you through each step. My dorm has a dining hall downstairs as well as a game room and community living room.

University of Alabama students constantly brag about their school’s traditions and spirit, and their pride is shown throughout the town. Some say it’s the incredible education that drew them here, and others say it’s Bama football that brought them to this Southern school. But no matter what reason these students choose to come to UA, most believe it was the best choice they could have made.

After graduation, some students get a job, some further their education by going to UA’s grad school, and some even go to UA’s law school. No matter what the students decide to do with their future, they believe Bama has prepared them for it. Students advise upcoming freshmen to walk around the Quad, visit the Strip, or watch a football game to understand why so many love UA.
