Greek Life: If you're a non Greek then your social life is kinda boring.

Overall Experience: I love the professors and classes, but it's hard to make friends if you're not outgoing and Greek.

Health & Safety: I have never felt unsafe on my campus, even on late nights passing a creepy guy.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I love getting the full college experiences by living in the dorms, but the price tag is heart breaking.

5 College Freshman

Greek Life: The University of Alabama has one of the largest Greek Life in the whole Country, but it comes at a price.

Athletics: 16 National Championships, need I say more? Roll Tide!

5 College Freshman

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I think Alabama is setting me up well to have a career in my field as soon as I graduate college. Through the classes themselves and all the different organizations on campus I feel very prepared.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: There is a definite feeling of being safe whenever anyone is on campus. It's very easy to contact University Police from anywhere on campus which is really nice.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Living on campus was a good experience. There were times when it was a bit loud but nothing that couldn't be handled. All the residence halls had wonderful amenities that made living on campus a lot of fun.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: The greek life is really big on campus. I have never been involved with the greek life on campus but I know they are super active in the community.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: The athletics are a big part of school life. It's really great how all the athletic facilities and staff make it a point to include all the students in the sports and make sure that school spirit never dies.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The school I am attending is wonderful and full of life. The professors excel at striving to make sure each student has the opportunity to succeed.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I will officially mark my first class at the Univeristy of Alabama in the fall. My largest class will be in business management with 255 students enrolled. There are a variety of courses in all aspects of majors. Course listings range from horseback riding to microeconomic courses available.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: The career center at the University of Alabama seems to be extremely helpful. They are willing to work with you on interviews, applying for internships, resumes, and even proper etiquette.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: Tuscaloosa is one of the larger cities in the state of Alabama. There are two other surrounding colleges in the area. As a female, I feel more comfortable walking in a group because of the amount of people living in the area.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: My review is only information I received from touring the dorms. I will be living in an apartment because the majority of the students in the dorms are freshmen.

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

View student contributors

University of Alabama students constantly brag about their school’s traditions and spirit, and their pride is shown throughout the town. Some say it’s the incredible education that drew them here, and others say it’s Bama football that brought them to this Southern school. But no matter what reason these students choose to come to UA, most believe it was the best choice they could have made.

After graduation, some students get a job, some further their education by going to UA’s grad school, and some even go to UA’s law school. No matter what the students decide to do with their future, they believe Bama has prepared them for it. Students advise upcoming freshmen to walk around the Quad, visit the Strip, or watch a football game to understand why so many love UA.
