Academics: The professors are very nice and helpful. I never feel like the reason I'm struggling is from lack of teaching.

Academics: Most of the professors are very helpful and knowledgeable. The curriculum is more challenging in some areas than others; the workload is manageable; the registration process is lengthy but not complicated; and if you plan on going into a field that isn't science-based, expect to feel isolated.

Academics: Many just think of UAB as a medical school. I'm going because of their amazing theatre program. I was recruited by many schools, but UAB was my top choice. The dept chair has won a Tony Award. Theatre UAB brings in visiting directors, choreographers, playwrights from all over the world.
