Overall Experience: UAB is a great school. I am a college sophomore, since I haven't been here long so I haven't experienced everything but from what I have seen it is awesome. There is a huge campus for a wide variety of activities for students to put together. And the staff are always looking for a way to help you out if you need it, every time I have asked they went miles beyond what they had to in order to help me.

Overall Experience: I absolutely love my experience. The school is challenging, diverse, and I have a strong sense of unity. Recently we suffered the loss of our football team. Students from different majors, backgrounds, and interests were able to come together and fight for our school and it was an amazing thing to see. I would make the choice again if I was given the chance.

Overall Experience: I love UAB! The campus is in the middle of everything, and the professors for the most part are very knowledgeable. I love how they have a fast track to all fields of medicine. I highly recommend to all high school students interested in medicine. Undergraduate studies and master's programs are rigorous but well worth it!

Overall Experience: I'm grateful that my school has a Neuroscience program for their students. It's quite selective so that they ensure some of the best kids that apply for it get in. Being part of the Neuroscience program allows me to choose a research lab to participate in so that I can explore different topics and find out what interests me. Our campus also has three hospitals so volunteering at a hospital or finding doctors to shadow is something that is available for many students that are interested in medicine. UAB has given me so many opportunities to go out and figure out what direction I would like my future to go in.

Campus Food: So far from what I have experienced, campus food is actually pretty good. It may be hard to believe, but the diner is great. I like it because there are several options to choose from. I am not limited to one selection. Also, the majority of the food is healthy food.

Campus Housing: Living on campus for me was ok, it could have been better. It can get annoying to have a roommate that is the totally opposite from you. I am a clean person, and I like for my space to be clean all the time. I hate a messy bedroom and my roommate was the exact opposite. Also, community stalls and showers are a nuisance because some females are really disgusting and will not clean after themselves. Besides the living conditions, the social atmosphere was always a blast; there is always something to do.

Scholarships: The school does not offer any chances for financial aid for the masters program that I am attending so I have to find other sources for aid.

Campus Food: I do not eat on campus much since I live off campus, but when I do I usually just stop by a food truck and they serve great food.

Scholarships: A large majority excludes students that are not foreign. There are hardly any scholarships for graduate level nurses.

Scholarships: The financial aid process was very easy. I was able to pretty much do everything online by just accepting my financial aid awards.

Campus Food: The food was not to terribly bad although I needed more healthy choices. It was very easy to grab something fattening hence the reason for gaining the freshman 15.

Campus Housing: I had a great freshman year, however, if I am not awarded any scholarship monies I will not be able to live on campus my sophomore year due to the cost.

Greek Life: I'm not affiliated with Greek life, but I know they are always doing something on campus to benefit their charities

Athletics: Football was taken away when we actually started to grow as a program. The men's soccer and basketball teams are great! The games are pretty well attended.

Off-Campus Housing: The area is a huge factor. This determines how expensive an apartment is . The more expensive the apartment and the farther off campus it is, the safer it usually is.
