Overall Experience: I believe the school is very money based and when it comes to money or the students, the money will be the first priority.

Overall Experience: I love going to college in Albany, the classes are still decently small and not extremely huge, and the professors and great. I went to college my first year in my hometown of Brooklyn, New York, and I'm really enjoying the change of scenery and the exposure to all of these new faces and experiences. UAlbany has an amazing campus and great resources available to the students of the university.

Overall Experience: I ultimately chose my school because I could afford it. It has a variety of majors and although I haven't completely settled on one, I know I will figure it out. The advisers aren't particularly helpful, but you can mostly figure out what you need to do on your own. I have lots of trouble with financial aid and the food could be better. However, the best thing about my school is the community. The students are very connected and come together when needed. I have met some amazing people here and it is so easy to fit in.

Overall Experience: Every high school experience is unique in its own way. There are both good and bad days, its what you make out of it.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: They care a lot about their students.

They provide their students with the best opportunities.

Overall Experience: As a resident of the state of New York, I have found my choice to attend UAlbany extremely beneficial overall. The first benefit is the fact that you pay in-state tuition. Compared to many of my fellow peers I went to high school with, I pay virtually nothing in tuition. I also received an academic scholarship, so my tuition is about the same as a community college. The next benefit is the fact that they accept virtually all AP scores of 3 and above. Having taken 9 AP exams over the course of my high school career, coupled with the regents exams accepted by the university, I started my college career with Sophomore status and 35 credits. They also accepted the SLP (Second Language Proficiency Exam), a test given at the completion of all eighth grade and administered to all students taking Spanish. That meant that I also did not have to fulfill a foreign language credit.

Given the fact that I had completed almost all of my General Education and Elective requirements before even setting foot in the university, I have been fortunate enough to triple major in mathematics, economics, and business administration with a concentration in finance, and still plan on graduating within he expected four years.

Overall Experience: It's not very easy to find a lot of friends on campus, but once you find the right group of friends, it's not a big deal.

Overall Experience: I have attended the University at Albany for two years this spring. While being enrolled, I've had very few experiences which have made me second guess the school. One of those experiences include the incapability of some professors, such as their office hours and actually being present at their office hours. Another experience that has made attending a university hard has been teacher assistants for some programs at the school. I've noticed much inconsistency in grading and performance with teacher assistants which has made some classes fairly difficult. While those are two strong negatives, I otherwise thoroughly enjoy my school. Since it is so large, library and food service hours are accommodating, this is fairly useful especially during stressful times. Also, the class size is unique and something that I do enjoy most of the time. With these pros and cons, I would chose my school again if I could do it all over. The cons are so miniscule while the pros are much more important.

Overall Experience: School offers great learning resources.

Overall Experience: I am very happy to have picked University at Albany. You have everything you need a bus ride away or on campus. It is easy to go home if you live in the city too. I wish greek life was more present but overall the school, its facilities and staff are great so far!

3 College Junior

Greek Life: There is no Greek housing, everyone lives together. After your freshman year you can pick your roommates, and those can be your brothers/sisters. Greek life isn't that big at Albany, non-Greeks either want to join or they are indifferent.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Lark street is easily accessible by either the 11 or 12 CDTA buses from campus. There are many different varieties of food there.

2 College Junior

Campus Food: Dining hall food is bad. The campus center food options are slightly better, but it's expensive. Over the years they have gradually gotten rid of meal trades, so the overpriced campus center food is not be worth the $7+ it costs.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: Just apply and make sure it goes to the school as there are multiple universities in the Albany area.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: The worst part of living in the on-campus dormitories is the party-goers that come back at 3:00AM on Thursday nights screaming at the top of their lungs. The weekends is understandable, but not Thursday night when some people have classes the next day.

3 College Junior

Party Scene: downtown parties are mostly frat parties in smelly, smoke filled basements and really not fun

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: I didn't dine off campus very often, but there are a large number of fast food chains fairly close to campus

4 College Junior

Administration: Parking options are limited, especially on colonial or state during the week, and it is more difficult because permits don't allow you to park in many places

3 College Junior

Campus Food: Dining hall has limited options. There are a lot more options in the campus center, but subconnection is one of the less appetizing options.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: Based on y household income, i received almost nothing in financial aid.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: Dorms need a little renovations, and get super hot. Cleaning is always good, staff are great. The dining hall food could be updated.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: It's good enough for now

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: All the food I had eaten was fine
