Party Scene: If by great you mean bad or by bad you mean great. Parties are pretty much only downtown in frat houses, and the rare campus center party thats difficult to get tickets to. Other than that, if you don't want to travel downtown or to a frathouse, you won't really enjoy much if you're a partyer. I know i got bored of the frat house scene so I ended up not even partying for the rest of the year. Few local bars, no clubs. Buses are free to go downtown, but always travel in groups and know which part of downtown you're headed to, and plan on taking a cab back, if not both ways.

Academics: I like that there are many study areas around campus. A student may easily find a "secret study spot" other than the library, whether it's at the campus center, a lounge on their quad floor, or one of the several academic buildings. Many of the professors are intelligent and care about their students, some can suck, but I can't speak on behalf of all the professors on campus.

Diversity: Diversity is a a priority here. At the university, there are students who have different cultural backgrounds, economic backgrounds, and sexual orientations, but students tend to be very accepting of each other. That's what i like about this school

Drug Safety: Drugs are common at UAlbany. It's more rare to find someone who's never smoked, than to find someone who has. The more intense drugs, however, I would say are not as common. But marijuana, alcohol, and adderal are a def big hit

Overall Experience: Students willing to put in the effort receive a return on that investment at SUNY Albany. I enjoyed my time there and could have worked a little harder, but earned a B.A. in 4 years and made some great connections.

Overall Experience: Most of my professors were awesome. Intro classes are usually the biggest classes you will have. When you get to upper level courses their are smaller class sizes.

Overall Experience: I think most people are here to earn a degree, value education, and have a plan or are trying to discover a plan for themselves. Some people slip through the cracks though.

Health & Safety: I have always taken the right precautions, but people, women specially have to be very careful. We were warned from the beginning to always walk in groups and be aware of your surroundings.

Campus Housing: I lived on campus all three years. All the places I lived were not bad, but it could of been better such as upgrading needed.

Greek Life: I would not know much about Greek Life. I tended to stay away from them

Athletics: Basketball is pretty big, but other than that not many other sports are not very popular. The athletes do well for themselves within their sports. I wish they recognized the crew team as a varsity sport.

Overall Experience: SUNY Albany is a great place to get an education at a low cost, but most students go there for the affordability because their first choice was a lot more expensive.

Greek Life: Nothing special. It's nice to have but you don't have to be in one to enjoy their offers

Athletics: I wish that it was easier to join some intramural sports but there are a variety of sports available so that's lovely.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Thinking of UAlbany leaves with a lot of different emotions but I still find myself smiling so I'll take that as a sign that overal it's pretty good.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The teachers are amazing and they care, I don't like to take classes in the lecture hall though since its such a large group.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: We have our own police safety at the campus and within each dorm there is a red hot line phone for emergency that goes directly to the police and their respond time is 4 minutes average.

Campus Housing: The communal shower heads needs to be renovated the water comes out with too much pressure sometimes. The rooms are decent size, you might end up getting a single or a double it will be a surprise. The best part is when you get a suite so you have your own bathroom and don't need to use the communal showers and toilet.

5 College Freshman

Greek Life: There are african american based as hell as hispanic based greek life. The sisters and brothers give back to the school and community whenever they can. They also host banquets, charities, and school events.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: My school is division one, and has one of the best women basketball divisions We offer 200+ clubs and many social originations. There are also opportunities to do internship programs that can count as credits. Job opportunities on campus include work study as well as hourly rate pay

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I'm doing the summer classes with EOP and its an amazing program, hard work but the teachers care and the campus is beautiful. Overall the goal is too graduate!

4 College Junior

Party Scene: Frats have the best parties but they get old, the bars are the best scene

3 College Junior

Party Scene: Not much of a partier anymore, but freshman year was fun

4 College Junior

Academics: I love learning here. Seriously the teachers usually awesome and I love my major so the classes are awesome

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: I can imagine it's just like any other party school
