Guys & Girls

Guys & Girls: Girls: You will be surrounded by driven, athletic, confident young Christian men who are literally not allowed to go out and get to know other girls except on weekends. Even if you aren't so attractive, you'll have a lot of competition for your attention without even trying. Just be careful about getting around too much, Navy gossip is like junior high gossip on speed.

Guys: Read above. Its a 5 to 1 guy to girl ratio. You were probably a big fish in your home pond. Well welcome to the ocean, 'lil fella. Even if you do find a girl who you get especially along with, she's probably busy doing homework/being hit on by other mids/fulfilling some ridiculous military obligation. And when she's free, any kind of romantic act on campus, yes even in the dorms, is an extremely grave violation of the conduct system. Fun fact: committed upperclassmen actually get thrown out for having sex in the hall. Fortunately, a mind-boggling amount of the students who attend USNA are either proud or closet virgins, and are content not knowing what they're missing. If you're interested in pretending to have a sex life, the uniform card can work pretty well on girls from other colleges. Too bad they're all at least 30 miles away, and you're not allowed to drive for your first two years.

Guys & Girls: Mids are good, hardworking people. The Type-A personality can get old though.

Guys & Girls: 80-85% of the guys here are total studs. Athletic, patriotic, motivated, good looking, smart, genuine and hardworking individuals. As with any school you get the one's that slip through the cracks, but the overwhelming majority are unbelievably good guys. The girls on the other hand are overwhelmingly average in all categories except "smart", with few exceptions.

Guys & Girls: Everyone is dressed the same, I mean we wear uniforms here. But there are alot more guys than girls. And some of the people here can be socially awkward. But once you find the right ECA to be apart of, it can become a family to you here.
