1 College Junior

Campus Resources: No student center. Over crowded loud library used for study groups,.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: The campus provides tremendous amounts of online databases, books(including textbooks for class in the library's), and plenty of computer labs to use at any time when not used for an actual class. I love UCC because it gives me access to a computer, printer, copy machine and plenty of other things needed to get work done.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: Union County College is a great college. All departments are good at their jobs and are actually interested in their students success. The transfer department is awesome. The ALC is really good. I have been there so many times that I should be a tutor myself. All in all, UCC is a great community college.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The library isn't too big, but the student center is really fun.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: The student center is very friendly, they do not give you answers. The student has to work and use their brains to figure out why it is wrong and if they need a little push the student center workers are there to guide you. Making sure you learn and not repeating the same mistake.

Union County College's campus is small, but generally pretty well maintained. There are no real outstanding buildings besides the MacKay Library or the Miller Sperry Observatory on the Cranford campus. The student fitness centers are medium-sized but often crowded, as is the case with most of the services the school provides. Renovations to any part of the College are done rarely at best. Basic maintenance is done regulary, but otherwise, the College is not updated. The libraries provide students with all of the books and resources that they need for their classes or to enhance their personal knowledge. Computer services are also offered in the library.

Each student is allowed to log on and print small documents for their classes. These computers are often occupied, and finding an open computer is difficult. Tech support is slow to respond, due to the workload they have, but they do manage to get the job done. Having your own computer is a great advantage, but most students do not have one. Overall, students are provided with all of the tools they need to have a successful student career at UCC.

Did You Know?
  • The best place for student interaction is the Commons area. It is located directly next to the cafeteria and is an ideal hangout spot. If you want to socialize or just relax and do some homework before your next class, this is the place to go.
  • Students are allowed to print out documents for free at the library. However, they are limited with the document size because large files back up the printers and inconvenience other students.
