Overall Experience: Sociology teacher I would give a C she didn't teach she read from the book. My computer teacher I learned a lot and he was a great professor.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Going p/t will take me a little longer to get into my manager

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: It's okay and hoping to transfer to a 4 year

4 College Senior

Online Courses: I've only taken one course so far but it's been pretty good so far

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: Overall it's an okay school. It really depends on what you major in

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: There are some internship offers, but you really have to go and look for them

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: Teachers are pretty good honestly, I only had one teacher that wasn't great

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: It's not ideal just because there isn't much of a student life, but there's a lot of good and difficult classes offered here.

3 College Senior

Career Services: I have not really spoke to any advisors about transferring but this semester I plan on doing that so that all my credits transfer over.

Overall Experience: I feel as though through my two first semesters at union county college, I have gotten lucky and have had the opportunity to have great professors. Professors that are willing to help me with anything. Professors that thoroughly explain things and have no problem having office hours that fit my needs as well.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: There are many student groups at this college. The value of a degree at this college would be the fact just like any other degree. Only difference is after receiving your associates degree from this college, one must go onto a four year college to get a bachelors degree if they really want to pursue in a great career.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: I am currently a liberal studies major, the reason why I declared that major was due to the fact I honestly have no clue what career I wait to pursue yet when I am done with college. What is so unique about this major is the fact that one can take many electives to help them figure out what career they might want to pursue after college.

Overall Experience: I feel as though being currently enrolled in union county college is a new experience. Some professors are great and make their office hours very convient for us students. While some professors on the other hand are not willing to really help students. It is either a hit or miss type of thing. This college offers much diversity, so people should not feel like they are the only ones. This college is great for people who are like me and are unsure of exactly what career they want to pursue when they are straight out of college. At union county college you get to dip your feet in the water a little bit, and get a feel on different career paths you could possibly pursue after getting out of college.

Overall Experience: the things that made my experince going to school good was that its and interactive school , with lots of activies sports ,

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: The whole system that UCC works on is pretty convenient. The classes fill up quick but if you do them sooner than later, you get to have a schedule that works around you job or activities outside of school. I was able to commit to only 2 days of school and I was able to work all the other days so it was not too bad. Most professors also respond to their email and the ones that don't are always willing to hear you out during class. The convinence of the scheduling helped me a lot with work and my time out.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I only took 2 online courses in my 2 years there. They are not too bad but it is recommended that you take an online course on a class you don't mind not having any help in. For example if you take a math online course you might need some assistance and some professors sometimes have difficult schedules for you to go and meet them.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: The career center offers a variety of ways to help the students find a job and also help the students find internships. The best function this school does is help you transfer to a 4 year college, the credits transfer for the most part but you have to make sure the classes you are taking help. The advisors do a great job and helping you see what classes would benefit you the most.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: There are many professors at UCC that are willing to help you and know how to help you be engaged in a lecture. There are also man professors who will do the exact opposite. The courses for the most part go directly hand in hand with the class itself, many times the course load will get overwhelming but in the end it is good because you learn many new things. The class sizes are not too bad, they are small for the most part so many times it gives professors to interact with the students a bit more.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Union County College has 2 main campuses, the one in Elizabeth and the one in Cranford. Coming from Elizabeth High school, UCC is frowned upon because it is looked at just as a community college. However, UCC has advisors and professors that are willing on helping you graduate at a top level. The career center allows you to create a strong resume (a resume in which I was able to land a bank job) and helps you seek internships around you. The school always offers career and job fairs in which you can talk to the representatives about any job as well as college fairs.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: At UCC, they do not offer an economics program as an associates degree. However going into a 4 year school is recommendable in doing a liberal arts major at ucc and many classes you take will make a nice transition into an economics major. The Economics classes are not too bad, UCC offers Macro and Micro economics.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Union County College is a community college but it is rigorous and gives you the resources you need for transferring into a 4 year school once you get your associates degree.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: The classes aren't that flexible, but it's okay.

3 College Junior

Career Services: It has many agreements with in-state colleges.

At Union County College, there are a few drawbacks, such as a lack of a sense of belonging, uncommitted students, difficult administration, and parking. However, there are still a lot of positives, such as the resources available to students, excellent professors, tutoring programs, cost-effectiveness, and the College's diversity. The huge selection of clubs and societies gives students plenty of things to do to keep themselves busy. No new student should have any problem finding something he or she is interested in. County College opens a lot of doors, including scholarships to four-year schools and connections with professors. The knowledge students gain and the things they experience make them stronger and more well-rounded individuals.

County College is certainly not the same experience as a four-year school, but both sides have their positives and negatives. Community college is a great way to save money and then move on to a four-year school. An education is necessary in today's society, and County College is a leap in the right direction toward a bright, educational future.
