3 College Sophomore

Local Area: The local atmosphere is average. You got a drive thru café and a small restaurant in walking distance. There is no mall; there's like a small shopping center. And, there's a Walmart a little ways from the school and that's pretty much where you get clothes and everything. The school is near the Smokey Mountains so that's mostly what people do around here, hike and what not. Other than that there is nothing to do. All of the fun is in the next city.

3 College Junior

Local Area: Mall and Walmart... that's about it.

3 College Freshman

Local Area: I am used to living in Europe so the small-town where my school is has a very different feel to it compared to what i'm used to. There were a lot of places to visit, especially because I lived in Germany, so it's been a bit of a struggle adjusting to life in the U.S.

3 College Senior

Local Area: Tusculum College is in a small town called Greeneville, TN. There isn't much to do in Greeneville for entertainment, but Tusculum tries to put different organized activities for the students to get involved in. There is the neighboring town of Johnson City, TN, and they are a bigger city than Greeneville. Tusculum also throws an Old Oaks Festival every year to support the arts. I had the opportunity to read to children at the festival, and it was a positive, learning experience.

3 College Freshman

Local Area: Greeneville is a very small town! There isn't much to do here except things like hiking and camping but it's a really beautiful town and it's very peaceful!
