5 College Junior

Online Courses: I've had few online courses, but the ones I did have were exceptional. The teachers, as well as students, are always engaging.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: Like I said, they are the greatest!

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I haven't met any notable alumni from this school. And I haven't checked out the career center.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: The library and student centers are the best. They have great tutoring centers.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: About 75% of the students at this school are Nursing majors. Its never been a problem.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: As I said the teachers are the best. They are reliable and take their time to make sure everyone understands the topics. They offer many chances to help with grades, and are likable

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is a bit high, and financial aid distribution isn't very effective. I do not receive my "leftovers" until a month into school, which does not help with books.

4 College Junior

Career Services: So far I haven't really looked into it, but I'm sure they will help me and my future.

5 College Junior

Student Body: Everyone is super friendly, its difficult to NOT make friends in any class. I've made friends from a wide range of ethnic origins.

5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I absolutely LOVE my classes. The teachers are great and they always make sure the students understand the topic.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I overall really enjoyed all of my professors. Their were only a few I didn't care for. But I really enjoyed my overall first semester as an actual college student.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Honestly, I have only been in the library to study at my school, but when I do go it is quiet and peaceful.

College Sophomore

Career Services: This wouldn't apply to me because I haven't reached post-grad level yet.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: At the community college I am attending, I am only earning credits to transfer to a four-year university.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: At this community college, they offer a variety of agriculture and outdoor certifications and degrees because of where we are located. The college is on the country side of Texas.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Instead of adjusting my school schedule, I adjust my work schedule since I also work part-time and my manager is very big on higher education.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I'm unsure about this school's financial aid process because when I apply for financial aid I never receive any.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: There isn't much because this is a community college.

5 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Everything works out smoothly compared to the previous year.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: My rating for campus resources may be not very accurate. I didn't take advantage of many of the resources besides the library for a study space. I never used the athletic center or attended any campus activities so I don't have an opinion on them.

For the library, they always had all the resources I needed and provided a quiet and comfortable atmosphere for me to study.

Online Courses: I only took one online class; Art Appreciation. I was scared to take an online class because I wasn't sure if I would be successful at it because it wasn't a face-to-face class. I had no reason to fear though because there was no communication issues. My instructor emphasized on the importance of communication between peers. We actually had weekly class discussions on each of our chapters in order to be able to share ideas and help each other along the semester. The teacher always replied to my emails if I had any questions about our homework and always wrote a personal note when giving me back my grades for the week. She either would tell me I was doing a good job or let me know where I needed to put more effort at in the class.

Registration was easy. You basically sign up for it just like any normal class and you were sent an email later to give you insturctions on what to do and what program to use to do your work. The online program even had their own orientation so that you would know how to work the program. The instructor also was clear about where she wanted us to submit any and all our work. There was never any confusion or unanswered questions on how it worked.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I think this school did a great job as far as informing and advising me about my financial aid rewards. If I ever had any questions, there were many people open to help answer my questions. During orientation they emphasized their efforts and attention on financial aid quite a lot. So no trouble there!

I feel the cost of my classes match the amount of knowledge I gained from each of them very fairly. No class seemed to be a waste of time or money. I took important lessons and new knowledge from every single class. In fact, I took a lot more then what I expected from a few classes.

Student Body: The school has a fair amount of diversity in their student body. Every age of student attends there from fresh high school graduates, middle aged parents, and even some elder students. The schools ethnic diversity is fairly average. A large number of Hispanics attend, but they all seem to be very young students. The school has actually started working with the local Terrell high school and now offer classes just for high school students so that they can begin earning college credits before they even graduate. There is also just an average feel of diversity in politics, religion, and sexuality. I have never experienced or heard of any discrimination against anyone for it. Because of this, I feel that most people are comfortable about being open about who they are and it allows for great class discussions. We are able to discuss subjects with many different perspectives and have a great learning experience.

Academic Flexibility: The school offers many different times and days for most classes. The school attends to many working parents and students. For this reason I believe they try to offer many opportunities so that students will be able to find a time and day to take the class one may need. Personally I did not work at all while going to school so I didn't personally have to work my schedule around school, but I did speak to many older students and I never heard any complaints from them about scheduling.

I knew what university I would be attending to after I left community college so I tried taking all the classes they recommend for me and made sure my classes would transfer to their school. Therefore I have had no trouble transferring my credits. The only hassle I have found is that the classes in community college and universities are numbered differently and can have different names. Universities do give out list of what their classes are in community college so you can make sure what your taking is the right class, but it would be a lot easier if all colleges just had the same numbering system.

College Sophomore

Career Services: The first college I attended was a small community college. My only goal here was to get my core classes finished in order to transfer to a larger university and begin taking more concentrated classes towards my B.A.. Because of this, I wasn't in any program that I would complete at community college and be able to go straight to a job from there. I never asked for any advisement on career services for this reason and therefore feel that I couldn't give a fair review on what they have to offer.
