3 College Freshman

Campus Quality: We have a lot green space and it is great for picnics and playing on the lawn. We have a big library and a nice new student center. We have lots of great study spots on campus.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: There are definitely problems with TIU as far as communication difficulties. However, the support of the campus and the willingness to help you do anything you want can not be over looked. They are always helping you succeed in anyway they can.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: We have great professors who really care about if we succeed. They will meet with you after class, help you find a tutor, get someone to take notes for you, allow you to take your tests in the testing center etc. They are easy to get a hold of and will help you with anything they need. They use older versions of the book to make it cheaper for the students and will give you resources if it is for something small. They don't care about us sharing books either, even if it means we can't turn in assignments as they should be. They adjust class to fit the needs of the students in it when necessary.

Off-Campus Dining: Deerfield shuts down after around 9 o'clock and there are few restaurants to choose from. We are not a big school and do not get discounts anywhere because of that. It is the same restaurants that you would normally find, nothing special.

4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: We have very attractive guys compared to many of the other schools I have visited. We have pretty girls too but they are a little more reserved. There are a lot of serious couples at our school, many engaged couples. Ring by Spring is a common phrase here. People are usually looking for the real deal and most aren't just dating to date.

Campus Food: We have 3 areas on campus where food can be purchased. We have the dining hall which usually has at least 4 separate options as well as dessert and salad bar. We also have Fresh which is a sort of cafe that has sandwiches, coffee, muffins, and salads which change each day and it is open until midnight. There is also another sort of food area in one of the buildings that grad students tend to use and they sell muffins, sandwiches, and drinks.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: I'm not interested in sports other than swimming, and the school does not have a pool.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The school wants to be a haven of refuge and wants to cbange lives. But I question its focus on instruction. Faculty introductions and devotions last longer than instruction time and the students who get recognition in class for solid work are those that cry and "bare all", not those who are studious, reserved and quiet. If you want a make over, consider this school. If you want to learn, go somewhere else.

2 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The program I belng to is an accelerated program that is supposed to be geared towards working professionals returning to school to finish or earn bachelors degree. Most students are stay at home parents or part time workers who do not understand the demands of career, family and school.

The school needs to look at its mission and ask itself if it is really offering an educational program or discipleship program. You can't give both when promising to prepare students for life in this world, and not life in a world as the school would have it.

2 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Staff was unfamiliiar with the system and the process. The school is still "just about ready to roll" with a new billing system. Teachers mostly rely on whiteboards for technology. One teacher used projector with powerpoint during class.

College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I live at home. If you have a car, and are willing to risk not finding parking at school, there are many rental options within 30 minutes. There is nothing within walking distance as far as shopping or rentals, though.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: It is the gold coast of chicago. Lots of options, unlimited options, if you have money.

College Sophomore

Administration: I commute so I cannot comment on campus life discipline.

2 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I have been unsuccessful at speaking with a person. It is like dealing with the Wizard of Oz. Do people really exist on the other side of the curtain?

College Sophomore

Party Scene: I live off campus so I cannot speak of a campus night life. School is small with inadequate outdoor lighting and security.

College Sophomore

Campus Food: I don't live on campus so I don't eat on campus. Occasionally get soup.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Deerfield and Bannockburn is super expensive but the quality is awesome

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: It's pretty good. Being in the suburbs of Chicago gives you a lot of options

5 College Freshman

Administration: I like the rules. It helps to maintain the Christian atmosphere

5 College Freshman

Scholarships: I'm going for almost free soooo it's great

5 College Freshman

Party Scene: We aren't a party school and I love that

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: I get sick pretty much every time I return to campus. I would like more raw options

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Not the nicest of buildings but it's all upkept well

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: The off campus options of the restaurant has quite a variety but they are far and between.

4 College Junior

Campus Quality: The events they plan on campus are good and are fun to attend. Depending on the students interest on certain event more than others, it becomes a tradition to have the event yearly.
