3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Deerfield and Bannockburn is super expensive but the quality is awesome

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: It's pretty good. Being in the suburbs of Chicago gives you a lot of options

5 College Freshman

Administration: I like the rules. It helps to maintain the Christian atmosphere

5 College Freshman

Scholarships: I'm going for almost free soooo it's great

5 College Freshman

Party Scene: We aren't a party school and I love that

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: I get sick pretty much every time I return to campus. I would like more raw options

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Not the nicest of buildings but it's all upkept well

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: The off campus options of the restaurant has quite a variety but they are far and between.

4 College Junior

Campus Quality: The events they plan on campus are good and are fun to attend. Depending on the students interest on certain event more than others, it becomes a tradition to have the event yearly.

College Junior

Guys & Girls: I don't really know what would matter at my school because I don't really pay attention to those kind of matters. However, I would say that one thing that students on campus would concern about would be their faith and academics.

2 College Junior

Health & Safety: The safety of the campus was little to be desired. There are no visible security personal that one could see at night.

4 College Junior

Administration: Due to being an Christian University, I would say the expectation they have for students are understandable. In the matter of expectation being broken, they deal with it strictly but at the same time in fair manner. They encourage students to speak up in case of any issue that might affect their social or academic life. In addition, they are open and wouldn't judge for any behavior that is not the fault of their own and even if it is, they wouldn't try to brush the matter aside in crude manner.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: It depends on what field of study you are, some of the degrees are generic others are famous.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: They will quickly find out what you are eligible for with out you doing anything but you have to stay on top of it as the years go on.

Off-Campus Housing: We are located in Deerfield which is a very rich suburb of Chicago. There are not many affordable, local options for us to choose from.

4 College Freshman

Administration: This is a small private Christian university we are expected to live up to the standards that are set by the Bible to the best of our ability. Students that are struggling with these issues can easily find faculty and staff that will want to help them conquer what ever trials they are up against. We have very lacks rules for a private schools as far as dress code, curfew, and conduct go. They expect us to be appropriate and try to live purely but do not go to extremes to enforce it upon us. We do have a certain amount of chapels we must attend and a couple required Bible courses but that is about it.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: It is very safe on campus. We do not really have a crime problem. There are security guards and police as well as cameras and call lights. I feel completely safe no matter where I am on campus no matter what time of day it is.

Campus Housing: Living on campus is very convenient because you do not need a car to get around, yet there is plenty of parking. There are not events going on every night but you are welcome to use most areas of campus as you see fit. It is not very expensive to live here unless you choose to live in T hall. It is very easy to get signed up to live on campus and you fill out a form to find a roommate that suits you. There are four dorms on campus. Johnson Hall is an all girl dorm with a communal setting and it is a very community centered dorm. We have suite nights weekly and parties as well, also worship night is hosted in our lobby every Thursday. We do have some limitations on what things we can have in our rooms because of safety reasons, so we all share a toaster and microwave in the suite and our laundry room is on the ground floor. The suites are broken up by common interests for the most part. Carlson Hall is an all boy dorm, it does not have a lobby and is sort of set up like a motel. It is also communal style but with smaller amounts of people and with a less noticeable sense of community. It has a laundry room on the main floor and similar limitations as Johnson, though it is very different. Madsen Hall is mostly upperclassman dorm with suites that include kitchens. There is not a great sense of community and it is sectioned off in several ways. It does have a more apartment feel and some special features such as the kitchens, balconies, and co-gender building. T Hall is the newest and most expensive dorm on campus. It has a modern set up, a movie room, pool tables, elevators, a nice laundry area, and it is suite style. It is set up that each floor is for a different gender and there is also married housing. Each suite has a living room, bathroom and 2-3 bedrooms. There is also graduate housing which are apartment style.

Athletics: We have several teams but most of them are not very good, because of that they are poorly funded which keeps game-changers from choosing TIU. We do not have great school spirit or a cheerleading team however many of the students are athletes which keeps athletics important.

1 College Freshman

Greek Life: We do not have any Greek life on campus. It promotes partying, peer-pressure, underage drinking, and poor decisions. We try to stay active in positive activities that are beneficial to both ourselves and the community.

1 College Freshman

Party Scene: We do not have parties on campus and anyone that says we do is lying. Those are not parties they are small get-togethers.

3 College Freshman

Majors: I don't enjoy it here. The people are fake and phony. The facility isn't that great. The food is terrible.
