5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Overall, it is a great campus with very helpful professors and nice people. There is always someone that is willing to help you to make your college experience that much better. A lot of the professors have experience in their field that they are teaching which makes it nice when you want to ask questions that may not be able to be answered with a book. Sometimes you need the answer from someone who has been through it in real life.

Overall Experience: The criminal justice degree is very valued from what I can tell. It is not a big school, but we have a lot of professors that worked in the criminal justice field so the information you receive is very valuable. I cannot speak for other majors however since I do not know how those degrees translate when trying to find a job.

Health & Safety: The feeling of security is very good and you do feel safe walking around on campus even at night. There are a few places you get the feeling you want to avoid occasionally but it's not too bad. There are very few incidents that I can recall where myself or others have had any security issues that I know of as well.

Campus Housing: The rooms themselves are not bad, but are for sure the usual college size, so very small. I think they are a little overpriced for the things that you get when you pay for that, but it is a very safe campus so I assume that is where a lot of the money goes to.

Greek Life: The Greeks are kind of looked down on at Tiffin and are only looked for when it comes to parties. However, the greek groups are very involved with the community ad usually do not get enough credit for the things they do.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Overall, the athletics are very popular at Tiffin and there are many teams that do very well. Varsity sports definitely overshadow the club sports but most of the sports are varsity sports anyways. The facilities are very nice as well for all of the athletes.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Overall, Tiffin has been very helpful to my edycation and even helping me grow as a person. The professors are super helpful and are almost always willing to help you. Some of them are sometimes hard to find, but if you just visit their office during office hours then they will be able to help you with anything you need.

Health & Safety: I have never felt unsafe on campus, security is alright.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Not a wide variety but my professors typically care.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Value of a degree isn't spectacular, but a degree is a degree.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I lived in Clay street dorms and have no complaints.

1 College Freshman

Greek Life: Greek life is pretty bad, not many people attend or care about them.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: Being apart of a varsity sport is nice, but some are clearly better and treater nicer than others.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I love all of the people I have met there, classes aren't the greatest.

5 College Student

Athletics: Everything is up to date!

5 College Student

Overall Experience: I've only been there to visit! I'm moving in in August!

4 College Student

Athletics: As far as i know, its great.

Health & Safety: Tiffin University is in a pretty safe town and there is not much crime on campus. It is a safe campus, but the security office is usually always closed and if the head of security is there, they usually are not there for long. I feel like that can be a concern for on campus students who need help right away.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I really like all the professors I have had. They all have been involved in field work, so they share their personal experiences with us as a class and that is really cool. There are a good amount of courses offered, but sometimes there is not enough of the same class offered at the same time and there are a good number of students on a waiting list to get into the class. I do like having no more than 40 students in a class. It gives that sense of matter and that I'm not just a number.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: There is one person in charge of internships and I have never even met her before. We are required to complete an internship upon graduation, but I feel that I am all alone in that matter and I do not even know where to start. Therefore, the career center is not the best, but they offer workshops for students which is a plus. They also have this new program for internships, that if the job is unpaid, the school will pay the student $10/hr for the first 150 hours of the job. It only pertains to students who have financial need, based off the FASFA. The FASFA is based off the students parent's finances, not the student. Students are getting turned down because of their parents income, so the student cannot participate in that program.

2 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: This school is mainly focused on athletics and minorities. If you are not either, you're just a number. I'm only here for my program, because they are highly ranked for their criminal justice program. I like the small class size and being able to live at home and save a little bit of money. The reason I would choose this school again if I had too, would be because of the small class sizes and that I can live at home and same money. I would not choose this school if I would have chosen a different major and I do no feel accepted because I am not apart of a sports team. The way this school puts athletics before academics is not right.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The campus is really safe. It is just a little creepy at night when you want to walk alone on campus because no one is out.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The quality of the courses are exceptional. Some classes are dry, but make sure you continue with the course. The professors are pretty nice. I have not run into any problem professors yet. The class styles are pretty similar. All of the classes use moodle as a way to turn in homework. The class sizes are fairly small. The most I have had in my classes are about 40, but some people do not always attend or they drop the class.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: As a requirement, students have to get an internship before graduating. No matter the choice of field they must get it completed.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The mood in the dorms is a positive one. However, the other residents that preside in the dorm need to learn to respect the quiet hours. All the dorms are close to the classes and close to the Gilmor so students can get their meals. The cost is quite excessive. The housing process is done online after your first year.
