5 College Junior

Career Services: I'm not sure the specifics of the alumni program but I have heard good reviews and many of the people I went to school with go on to find great paying, well satisfying jobs.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: There's a building specifically designed for the medical field and I have the pleasure of working with a professor who is in my desired career field. The workload in his class is manageable and the facility is state of the art.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: The class registration particularly is not as hard as I thought because there are students, professors, and specific workers at the college who's job description is to walk you through the process.

Campus Resources: The resources I find the most helpful are the labs for each subject (ex: math, English, medical) offered on campus that help you if you get stuck on homework, need help on starting an essay, questions on a medical term, etc. There are professors there that know what they're talking about who give you advice and better, maybe even simpler ways to get the assignment complete.

Overall Experience: I would recommend the online classes. It easy and you save money. You learn the same as in a traditional class.

3 College Senior

Online Courses: Online class is pretty good. you just do your work and turn it in. You don't have to deal with stupid teachers or trying to find parking. Theres little or no relationship with other students or the teachers

3 College Senior

Student Body: Everyone is old. The majority of students are 40+. And no one talks to each other. We just show up for class and then leave.

2 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: They only hire the stupidest people. Everyone you talk to literately does not care and doesn't even know whats going on.

1 College Senior

Career Services: Everything they offer is unhelpful.

2 College Senior

Academic Experience: They make you take stupid classes that are unnecessary. For example, they enforce taking a physical education class just to make more money.

1 College Senior

Academic Experience: Teachers are so bad. So bad. They don't even try to cover the material. They just waste everyones time.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: The library and student center are nice. However, there's really no campus activities.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Classes are really flexible, and there's a lot of different classes offered in the evening and on weekends. A couple of my classes transferred to ODU. The biggest hassles I've had have been with financial aid and registration.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I've had an okay experience at TCC. I've learned useful information that will help me in the future, and I feel prepared to transfer. However, the advisors and the financial aid office were not very helpful. TCC's diversity and affordability is what makes it unique.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: There's a huge variety of courses offered. There's usually about 10-30 students in each class depending on the class, and some professors are better than others. I would definitely recommend ratemyprofessor.com.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: TCC makes it very easy for students to find a job. They're always hosting job fairs and hiring events, and the career services center is a great resource.

College Sophomore

Online Courses: I haven't taken any online courses.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: We have a very diverse student body and faculty. There are many different ethnicities, ages, and backgrounds, and everyone's very accepting and open-minded.

2 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I've always had bad experiences with the financial aid office. The lines are always long, and they don't help students at all. You're basically on your own when it comes to registration and financial aid. I don't receive any financial aid, and depend on scholarships, savings bonds, and my part-time job to pay for school and books.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: Most people get jobs right before graduation depending on their major. They offer career services to help students find jobs.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I don't get help from the advisors. They don't know anything about other schools. I'm basically just taking the classes I need to transfer to Old Dominion University, which makes me a science major. The curriculum isn't very hard if you keep up with the work and study. The workload is manageable.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: We have a ton of different programs to choose from. The problem is that you have to sign up for classes early or they will all fill up, and you'll be stuck with a bad professor. If you don't know what classes you need then you can talk to an advisor, but if you want to transfer then they are not much help.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The campus is pretty nice. We have great resources such as the new library and student center. However, we could use better resources in the labs. We need new models and cadavers. Also, some of the professors don't seem to take their jobs very seriously.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: The use of employers recruiting on campus are the same as anyway other.

5 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: It's a community college so the tuition isn't that much, in fact financial aid paid about 80% even when I was a full-time student every semester. It's easy to apply for it and they even encourage you to do it.
