Academic Experience: I have been taking core classes such as English, History, Math, Biology and some business classes. The work load for each class has varied. The facilities are nice especially the Williamsburg campus. There are not many internship opportunities or job opportunities that I have seen from this school.

Academic Experience: Being an HVAC-R student at Thomas Nelson is great. All of the instructors are extremely knowledgeable and up to date on the latest industry equipment. There are many training units in the classroom and the split between classroom and lab time is about 50/50. The workload is not terribly demanding however, if the basics of refrigeration and thermodynamics are not understood then failure is inevitable. Part of the associates degree requires a semester working in the field and there are companies in the area hiring people from the program every month. Overall I feel that being an HVAC-R major at Thomas Nelson Community College is a great experience.
