4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Since the school is located downtown San Diego, there is ample security and lighting available.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: You just have to stay on top of the curriculum and do all the reading, otherwise you will fall behind.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I know some of the professors at the school and I know that they are wonderful.

I have encountered other students who enjoy attending school there, so it is a plus.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: I really enjoy law school and I feel like this is exactly where I belong. All of my professors are very welcoming, accepting, and accommodating. My school also offers many programs to help students excel, as well as many student organizations to network. My school also has clinic's that students can receive hands on experience.

Majors: The LLM program is an internationally recognized designation. This designation beginning to works its way through the US accounting and compliance system. As the US enters into more global agreements with the mulit-national corporations which exist here, we will begin to see the demand for this credential.

Health & Safety: The city of San Diego is fairly safe.

Off-Campus Dining: Off campus dining is great.

Local Area: Thomas Jefferson School of Law is located in San Diego, California. The city of San Diego has a high quality of life rating along with a fairly high cost of living. That said, it is important to have the proper financial resources to manage full time law school coursework and a safe living area.

Entertainment, diversity of environment and proximity to many social activities abound. The online experience has been efficient, but at times, expensive as the internet costs, computer upgrades, and other tech devices necessary to properly contribute to the online discussions has been an ongoing expense. The school is under some uncertain financial pressures that may create uncertainty for students.

Athletics: When people participate, it can be fun.

4 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: I hope I get this money. The process was not difficult, but it took some time to complete.

3 Recent Alumnus

Majors: I emailed the program administrator several times about my acceptance for the program, but never received a response.

3 Recent Alumnus

Majors: My program is unique so very few are with me in the program. I have access to all program materials and rarely if ever have to wait to use my resources.

3 Recent Alumnus

Administration: The school tries to be a positive influence for students, but the school has more important worries other than the current students.

3 Recent Alumnus

Health & Safety: When it is necessary, this support is great. I have only heard of one of-campus incident and it was a non-student who attempted an assault an a student, but the assault was thwarted by others students who came to the aid of their classmate.

3 Recent Alumnus

Academics: My major is specialized so its not impacted and I have all the resources at my disposal that my school offers.

4 Recent Alumnus

Academics: What is offered is amazing because the professors work hard to teach the most important concepts.

3 Recent Alumnus

Greek Life: There is one Greek organization on campus and they have a pretty good representation among students, but their impact on the school is generally non-existent.

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Quality: We used to have gym memberships, but they were revoked. We are charged money through tuition if we want to have a meal plan. We pay enormous amounts for inadequate parking facilities.

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Quality: Intellectual Property and Patent Law programs are amazing and the academic professors are intelligent and amazing.

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Housing: The housing is close to school. That is the best thing to be said about the housing. The apartments are small, overpriced, usually unclean, and people violate rules often with no perceivable consequences.

3 Recent Alumnus

Guys & Girls: People find it hard to open up to others initially and when they do, they form small cliques. These small cliques exclude any other individual so the members are deprived of the experience of knowing others.

3 Recent Alumnus

Scholarships: The process is cumbersome and requires printed, faxed, or emailed forms. With so much technology in use, not having a purely electronic method for this process is shameful.

3 Recent Alumnus

Off-Campus Housing: There is housing available near campus, but the prices are much too high and the quality is lacking. Security was never great, but that ineffective security has been further diminished due to financial issues.

4 Recent Alumnus

Off-Campus Dining: The variety is impressive. The costs are too high. There are not enough adequate student discounts.

4 College Senior

Diversity: The school is accepting of all backgrounds.
