Campus Food

{{ error }}
3 College Junior

Campus Food: The same weekly menu is recycled every week, so they food is always the same in the dining hall. There is typically an option for everyone in the dining hall, they push for vegan and gluten free dishes. Sometimes the dinner options are slim, so cereal is the best option. It is irritating when cereal is the best dinner option because dinner meal swipes cost about fifteen dollars. Meal swipes do not roll over into the next week, so if you fail to use them all, then you lose money.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: The Buchman Pavillion has the best selection of food choices

3 College Junior

Campus Food: For such a small campus it does have a lot of options, but since most students go home on the weekends the hours for some of the smaller places aren't great

1 College Freshman

Campus Food: The food options are always the same and there is barley and healthy options

2 College Freshman

Campus Food: I love the school, not the food choices. I'm used to home cooked food. My family never eats out and allot to the food seems to be deep fried.

Buchman Pavilion Kiosk and Buchman Bistro have very high-quality food and also have a large selection of on-the-go meals. The price can be high, since everything is usually made from fresh ingredients, but the price is worth it because of the portion size. Students can use their Bonus Bucks in order to pay for food at the Buchman facilities. Buchman is known for having healthier options than the other dining hall on campus. The availability can vary in the sense that the Buchman Kiosk is open later than the Bistro section, which closes quite early.

McKinstry is the main dining hall for residents, but commuters can also get a meal plan to eat there, as well. The quality of food is average, but they do offer a wide variety of options. The price of an average meal plan can cost anywhere between $1,500 and $2,500, depending on the student's year. The value of food is good because students pay in advance for their meals, so they can eat as much as they like. The dining hall does not offer kosher or organic foods, but it does try to make the meals healthy with vegetarian/vegan dishes and different ethnic foods for international students. In all honesty, despite the many options, varieties, and portion sizes, most students do not like the food offered at Sage and think it is disgusting.

Special Options
The College does offer some special food services every once in a while. When students are sick, people who work at the Wellness Center will deliver food to students in their dorm rooms to prevent others from becoming sick. The College will also have trucks come to campus, such as the cupcake or ice cream trucks, which are great treats for all students to enjoy. If students have dietary restrictions, the campus dining halls will do their best to accommodate the student's food needs. They usually do not offer kosher foods unless necessary, but they do offer a variety of vegetarian or vegan options.
