Online Courses: When it comes to online classes, there are only half a quarter, a quarter being 11 weeks (3 months) so half of that would be 5 weeks. The amount of work we have to get done was a lot. There were assignments due twice every week and we had to turn it in on time or it would be late. We also had to comment on people's threads, a minimum being about three people. The way we had to comment would have to add on to the topic, so we had to think about what we had to put before moving on to the other homework we had to do. It was a lot, but once it was over it gave for more time to work on the classes I had on campus so that was the only plus side.

Overall Experience: I was able to to make friends easily because of the common interests I have with others being the classes, and movies. Granted the amount of work I have to put in makes it a little difficult to hang out, but we've hung out doing study groups and doing work so that helps, too.

Academic Experience: The program I am in is the Media Arts and Animation which can help with going into making animated films, commercials or going into the gaming industry. The workload is sometimes ridiculous depending on the class schedule one has during the quarter. Last time, I had to worry about creating a five minute animatic and also creating an 8 second lip sync animation. For that second project I was using a program I never touched so it was a very stressful time for me. It's great learning about the different ways you can 3D model, and how to use the lighting in the program to create a certain atmosphere in a scene. However, it's sometimes a hassle having to do homework because we have a Cintiq lab, and sometimes there are classes taking in place in that lab. Need I point out that these classes don't even need to use the Cintiq themselves to do that work, just the computer and whenever we go in there to do homework, the professors for that class get irritated or upset because of it. I wish there was more rooms, or a bigger facility in order to be able to do my homework without worrying about disturbing a class in the middle of their lecture. Also, it'd be great if the school was open a lot later because sometimes the only time I have the chance to do homework is at night because I have to do chores and help my siblings work on homework. It'd be nice to work at the school where I could work on homework because there are some programs that I can't get on my laptop to work on home like ToonBoom so I would have to wait until I go to the school and get there early so I can work on my 2D animation homework.

Academic Experience: Sometimes I wonder about how they choose the professors for the classes. There was a graphic design teacher who was a first time teacher at the campus and she was teaching storyboarding. I didn't feel like I was learning from that class, I learned more from the books rather than the teacher. In another class the teacher didn't know the program we were using so we had to teach ourselves how to use it. Also, the way they schedule the classes are different, I feel like one of the classes I'm taking now would have been a lot more helpful if I had taken it before I had to take a class I took last quarter.

Tuition & Financial Aid: There are financial advisors that help you with getting the aid that you need. They let you know if you have any unexpected fees and informs you on where specially they come from. Since it's a private school, the costs are expensive and I have to get loans, but they help you fill out the FAFSA so that makes the financial process less of a hassle.

Campus Resources: The library pertains to all the programs available in the school, but I'd like to have a variety of books in there just to read for fun. There are clubs at school, but the way they announce is through flyers and not everyone pays attention to that sort of thing. People have their groups and do their own thing. Our campus is really small so there's not room for a cafeteria, or lobby on it's own. It would be great to have one so there'd be more room during the class breaks to relax.

Student Body: It's hard making friends when you are in a class with 30+ people. In the campus I'm in it's a small environment and almost everyone knows one another there so it's easier to make friends. Being able to make those bonds through the classes and study groups really helps someone who is introverted. There's a variety of people with all sorts of backgrounds with dreams of their own. There is someone in my class currently who has already gotten a Bachelor's in Graphic Design, and is working on becoming a matte painter. There's another person who just started that is working on being a 3D modeler. There's a lady with kids working on her Graphic Design degree so that's just a glimpse of the different backgrounds we have in the campus. In classroom settings, there are people who can learn quickly or not regardless of their background because not everyone are good at a certain thing. It's not hard to ask for help because there are people there who are happy to do it.

Academic Experience: I love the graphic design program. It's a very hands on experience and you do work that is basically like what you would be doing in the real world at an actual business. It does prepare you in all fields and gives you the opportunity to work with multiple technology mediums.

Career Services: Career services is helpful, but they don't always come to you, rather you go to them and then you have to fill out a form most of the time and wait for some time before they see you.

Academic Experience: The teachers' that I have had the chance to encounter all seem very understanding of personal situations and I have never had a problem with them in that area. However, if they could be understanding and lenient at the same time that would be even better. Sometimes things happen in life that nobody can control and the teachers need to realize that, talk it over with the student and help them in anyway possible.
