Greek Life: There are a ton of chapters in the Greek life which gives a lot of people opportunities to join. I don't know personally how they affect the school because I am an incoming freshman, but I am looking forward to rushing tbis fall semester.

Greek Life: Ive always viewed greek life as a way to pay for your social life. and for that matter a good mark on your resume. im not a big fan of them and dont feel as if they really do as much for their community unless they are being told. i find them to usually be obnoxious and rather in your face. one can hardly walk down the quad during the warm months without someone stepping in your way to loudly present you with a flyer or request donation for their "cause". i makes traveling campus rather uncomfortable and sometimes even a hassle.

Greek Life: I am not in Greek life, but some of my friends are and they love it. The bonds they have formed will last them a life-time and for that I am very happy for them.

Greek Life: I personally do not know exactly what the greek life is like at Texas State. I am at the Round Rock campus, so I am not direvtly involved. Although I would not be in a sorority, I know many people who enjoy the camaraderie.

Greek life at Texas State is very active and very positive. The fraternities and sororities work hard to make a positive impact on Texas State and the San Marcos community.

You will see Greek members hanging out in the quad (centerish part of campus) doing fundraisers every day. Joining a fraternity or sorority is an excellent way to really get involved with your campus and the surrounding community. It's also a great way to make some close friends, as well as network with various employers you may be helping raise funds for.
