3 College Senior

Overall Experience: Some of the Professors neef to retire.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Texas state is a wonderful lively college experience and I'm glad I chose to attend this school

Health & Safety: On campus, I feel like I'm in good hands. The security here is pretty tight, not many things get past them. Their are security or police officers sitting around watching. So, I feel protected, feel like someone always have an eye on me. Plus, they have a service system that comes to pick people up and takes them to their house at night if a student does not feel comfortable walking home alone.

Overall Experience: All the classes I have encountered so far at Texas State are helpful, and has good quality. The classes are not that big, at least not most of them. All the professors make sure they help their students the best way they can, in class and during their open office hours.

Overall Experience: The career service at Texas State are very useful and beneficial. I haven't started looking for internships just yet, but I know that the career service department will help me a lot on looking for one, or leading me in the direction.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I have only had one semester so far. Three of my teachers were very well educated in their fields. Another had a lot of information, but was not very organized. Class size was good, course choices are great, but the desks are uncomfortable.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: They have regular job fairs and a career center I have not had an opportunity to check out yet.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: I have not heard about any sexual assaults on or around campus. There has been some gun violence, but the police seem to be well trained.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: I have very little interaction with Greek Life. I have seem them in the quad trying to get recruits.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Texas State has a really good History Department. Some of the teachers are good at what they do and have a passion for their subjects.

3 College Junior

Athletics: I'm not really into college athletics, so I don't know how good they are. I know they are overshadowed by UT and Texas A&M.

Campus Housing: Living on campus of Texas State is awesome! The residents, and the Resident Assistants are also awesome. They have helped me with my services that I requested of them in a timely manner. They are very social and very easy to get along with. In my opinion, they help you feel at home.

Greek Life: The Greeks of Texas State University are pretty cool. They give to the community, and do a lot of community service. In my opinion, Greeks aren't that different from non- Greeks.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: The Texas State Bobcats are filled with athletes. We are very talented and gifted, but we don't win every game. However, the spirit of the fans and the crowds are always strong. No matter what the sport is!

Overall Experience: My school, Texas State University, is a great school! It is held in the city of San Marcos, Texas, a small city that is diverse. I have had the chance to experience great things, such as; concerts, famous people having talks in the student center, and meeting new people at small local events. I would always choose to go back to Texas State University in San Marcos if I had to choose.

3 College Freshman

Academics: Some professors care about their students and others don't. It is my first semester at Texas State, so I can't really say much

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Walking around campus alone at night is a stupid thing to do unless you call bobcat bobbies

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The education at Texas State is sub par, some teachers care about their students, others don't! Use rate my professor to your advantage.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The alumni network is not as strong as at other schools.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: My first semester was a little rough concidering that I lived at Arnold Hall, but luckily they will be tearing that down for Fall of 2016. For the most part, the dorms are pretty decent, its just expensive for what you are getting.

5 College Freshman

Greek Life: Its one of the best decisions i've made! I originally had no clue what greek life was all about until I went through the sorority recruitment process. Its definetly not for everyone, but I think that people should look into it. Greek life is getting much bigger at Texas State, but its not overbearing!

3 College Freshman

Athletics: School spirit is not such a huge thing on campus! During football games, most people come just to tailgate. Its one aspect at Texas State that needs improvement. Other than that, most people are pretty proud to be a bobcat!

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I love Texas State University with all my heart. I've made a ton of friends from all walks of life, and best friends whom I can count on being there for me on my wedding day. The town is a little ghetto but it is a college town so you can't expect too much out of San Marcos. There is a lot of partying at Texas State but there are also people who don't party as well! Most big public schools are known for their parties so I don't understand why Texas State is known for that. The school is very beautiful and welcoming. It's definitely a great school to consider!

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: Crime is very minimal on campus and I always feel safe walking at night and to class. We have bobcat bobbies to escort us if we feel unsafe.

Texas State is such a friendly, open, accepting university. It's not a super huge college, so the people aren't stuck-up or cocky like you might find at bigger universities. It's very relaxed on campus, and there's a very chill atmosphere surrounding the city of San Marcos, as well. You can feel at home at Texas State, and you'll be surprised to find how easy it is to make friends.

Texas State is superb in making sure its students are offered the opportunities they need to gain skills that will make them the most competitive in their field. Being a smaller university makes it even easier for academic advisers and professors to take the extra time to talk to students one-on-one about their future career paths. The professors and advisers are always eager to help.
