3 College Freshman

Athletics: I do not have much personal experience the athletics at Texas State University.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Texas State University offers great education in a beautiful location. I enjoy the classes that I have been taking so far and the teachers are all passionate about their classes. On campus housing is great and parking is good (if you're a resident). Commuter parking is a nightmare because of how many students attend. Overall my experience has been very enjoyable and I cannot wait to start my life successfully through my degree and this school.

Overall Experience: the student job fair for STEM majors only had people looking for engineers.

Health & Safety: just don't be an idiot and walk alone at night or try to fight someone with a gun or leave your door unlocked.

3 College Senior

Campus Housing: I actually have no idea what it is like

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: This school is in a pretty interesting location with some nice places to go out to drink or eat. The teachers really are better than most schools and so you are getting a better education than most. On top of that there is also a nice party environment, if you're interested.

Athletics: there seems to be significant student involvement in athletics. The teams seem to do well. The teams seem to be well supported and full of spirit. The athletic facilities are quite nice.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: Most of our tuition money goes to athletics. it can be administrated better to expanding the campus but no.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Texas State University is highly diverse and provides great school opportunities. Parking for students is an issue, but other than that, i would highly recommend this school

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I never had a problem with any of my teachers and they knew what they were discussing. My favorite teacher is my french teacher Peter Gallato.

Overall Experience: I have to look outside of the states for a job as i want to go into european archaeology

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: students still like to smoke on campus and anyone can just walk on campus and hurt someone. I love the alerts the university police sends out through email and social media letting students know when a crime was committed and when the suspect is caught.

Campus Housing: I have never lived in campus housing

Greek Life: I went through recruitment 3 times and all three times i felt like I wasnt good enough from the way i looked and dressed. The one time i thought i would get in since i had a 3.5 gpa and made the dean's list and my dreams were crushed. So i finally gave up on trying to join a sorority. Now that i see every sorority every day they do hang out in cliques and they all dress the same and no one seems like an individual.

Overall Experience: I love Texas State the campus is beautiful and the town is breathe taken at night. I just wish there was closer parking for non-resident students the bus system takes forever to get from one place to another or it is a long walk from parameter parking lot to campus.

4 College Junior

Athletics: a wide variety of club sports to choose from and the dance/cheer team are more invested in

Party Scene: I have lived in San Marcos my entire life, and the nightlife is ok.

Texas State is such a friendly, open, accepting university. It's not a super huge college, so the people aren't stuck-up or cocky like you might find at bigger universities. It's very relaxed on campus, and there's a very chill atmosphere surrounding the city of San Marcos, as well. You can feel at home at Texas State, and you'll be surprised to find how easy it is to make friends.

Texas State is superb in making sure its students are offered the opportunities they need to gain skills that will make them the most competitive in their field. Being a smaller university makes it even easier for academic advisers and professors to take the extra time to talk to students one-on-one about their future career paths. The professors and advisers are always eager to help.
